Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance the creativity and economic independence of mosque youth through the implementation of the Business Challenge Program in Lingkungan VI, Tanah Enam Ratus Village, Medan Marelan District. The program was initiated in response to the limited entrepreneurial knowledge and skills among mosque youth, which hindered their ability to develop productive business initiatives. The implementation involved several stages: field observation, interviews, workshops, mentoring sessions, halal product-making practices, and marketing simulations. The results indicate a significant improvement in participants’ ability to design business models using the Business Model Canvas, produce halal products (such as fried tofu “tahu walik” and “es kuwut”), and market them directly to the community. Moreover, the program instilled Islamic business values, including honesty (ṣidq), trustworthiness (amānah), and diligence (ijtihād), as the foundation for ethical entrepreneurship. Overall, the Business Challenge Program effectively fostered creativity and self-reliance among mosque youth while strengthening the role of mosques as centers for community empowerment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh literasi keuangan dan sosialisasi terhadap penggunaan QRIS oleh pelaku UMKM halal. Transformasi digital telah mendorong perubahan sistem pembayaran dari tunai menjadi nontunai, di mana Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) hadir sebagai solusi pembayaran digital yang efisien dan inklusif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan teknik purposive sampling terhadap 32 pelaku UMKM halal di sekitar Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner tertutup yang dianalisis menggunakan uji validitas, reliabilitas, korelasi Pearson, dan regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa baik literasi keuangan maupun sosialisasi memberikan pengaruh terhadap penggunaan QRIS, meskipun secara parsial keduanya tidak signifikan secara statistik. Kendala utama yang dihadapi UMKM adalah kurangnya pemahaman dan akses terhadap teknologi digital. Oleh karena itu, peningkatan literasi keuangan dan sosialisasi yang adaptif perlu menjadi prioritas dalam mendorong digitalisasi UMKM halal. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi penting bagi pembuat kebijakan dan lembaga keuangan untuk memperluas inklusi keuangan berbasis digital, terutama bagi sektor usaha kecil yang mendukung ekonomi halal.   This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy and socialization on the use of QRIS among halal MSME actors. Digital transformation has shifted payment systems from cash to cashless, with the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) emerging as an efficient and inclusive digital payment solution. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed, involving 32 purposively selected halal MSME actors near the Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara. Data were collected using a closed-ended questionnaire and analyzed through validity and reliability tests, Pearson correlation, and multiple linear regression. The results indicate that both financial literacy and socialization affect the use of QRIS, although neither shows a statistically significant partial effect. The main barrier faced by MSMEs is a lack of understanding and limited access to digital technology. Thus, improving financial literacy and adaptive socialization strategies should be prioritized to support the digitalization of halal MSMEs. This study provides relevant implications for policymakers and financial institutions in expanding digital-based financial inclusion, particularly for the small business sector supporting the halal economy.
