Abstract

This research background by the difficulty in reading the beginning may be disclosed: (a) not all students are able to read fluently, (b) the student has not been able to read a higher level, (c) the teacher is not providing the opportunity for students to practice reading, (d) teachers tend to use a more conventional learning. To improve students' ability to read the beginning of the study held a class act. The purpose of this study was to describe the increase in beginning reading skills using group work prabaca stage, at the current stage reading, and pascabaca.The data were obtained through observation, documentation, data sources are the teachers and the students of class I MIN. The data obtained in the learning process include: planning, implementation, and observations in beginning reading using the working group on the stage of the first cycle prabaca mean values ​​were 71.5 to 83.2 in the second cycle. at the stage when I read cycles from 66.7 to 81.2 in the second cycle. At this stage I pascabaca cycle of 65.5 to 82.7 in the second cycle
