Abstract

Let K be a  field and  is  line graph with infinite path.  Let L is a Leavitt path algebra with correspondence with graph E. Suppose   is a module over ring  (written- module , a module  is considered to be hereditary if all its submodules are projective. A module  is called a Noetherian module if   is a finitely generated module. Suppose M is a left module over the gelanggang  (written - module  ). A proper submodule of  is said to be prime if  with    and  implies  or  . In this  paper we will look at the characteristics of the hereditary nooetherian and prime  modules in the context of Leavitt path algebra.  Let L is a Leavitt path algebra, where E is a line graphs with infinite path and M is a module over Leavitt path algebra L, we find that then M is simple modules which is hereditary noetherian and not prime modules. Abstract

The problem in this study is the low ability to understand mathematical concepts in students. Furthermore, the learning process carried out by teachers uses conventional learning, resulting in a lack of student activeness during the learning process. This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of the MURDER learning model on students' understanding of mathematical concepts. This type of research is quantitative. The research method used is an experimental research method with a Posttest Only Group Design. The research population is grade X Phase E students at SMA N 1 Lembah Melintang. Sampling was carried out using a simple random sampling technique. The sample in this study was students from class XE2 as the experimental class, totaling 33 people, and class XE4 as the control class, totaling 33 people. The research instrument used was a test of students' mathematical concept understanding abilities. The data analysis technique using the t-test obtained t_hitung=5,08 and t_tabel=1,67. While using Minitab Software obtained P_Value=0,000. Because t_hitung>t_tabel and P_Value<α with a significance level of α=0,05, H_0 is rejected. The results of the study are "There is an influence of the MURDER learning model on students' understanding of mathematical concepts." Abstract

Mathematics learning outcomes remain a concern because teacher-centered instruction can limit students’ active participation and conceptual understanding. Although the effectiveness of Game-Based Learning in improving learning outcomes has been demonstrated in various studies, research specifically applying this model through an adaptation of Clash of Champions in junior high school mathematics learning remains limited. This study aimed to analyze the effect of a Clash of Champions adaptation-based Game-Based Learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of eighth-grade students at SMPN 1 Candung in the 2025/2026 academic year. The study employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design. The research sample consisted of an experimental class and a control class selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a learning outcomes test and analyzed using descriptive statistics, normality tests, homogeneity tests, and a t-test. The results showed that the mean learning outcome score of students in the experimental class was 72.93, which was higher than the control class mean of 61.37. The hypothesis test results indicated a significant difference between the learning outcomes of the two groups, demonstrating that the implementation of the Clash of Champions adaptation-based Game-Based Learning model had a positive effect on students’ mathematics learning outcomes. These findings strengthen the application of constructivist theory in mathematics learning and emphasize the importance of active, interactive, and student-centered learning experiences. In practical terms, the results can serve as a reference for teachers in implementing innovative learning models to improve mathematics learning outcomes. Future research should examine the effectiveness of this model across more diverse subject matter, educational levels, and learning variables.

Abstract

Mathematical critical thinking skills are an essential competency in mathematics learning, but these skills remain relatively low, and studies examining the effect of mathematics anxiety on the mathematical critical thinking skills of junior high school students remain limited. This study aims to analyze the effect of mathematics anxiety on the mathematical critical thinking skills of seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 4 Bukittinggi. The study employed a quantitative approach using an ex post facto research type and a correlational design. The research sample consisted of 43 students selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using a mathematics anxiety questionnaire and a mathematical critical thinking skills test that met the validity and reliability requirements. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics through simple linear regression with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics. The results show that mathematics anxiety has a negative effect on students’ mathematical critical thinking skills, with a regression coefficient of −0.326 and a correlation coefficient of −0.304. The coefficient of determination of 10.49% indicates that mathematics anxiety contributes 10.49% to the variation in students’ mathematical critical thinking skills, while the remainder is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. These findings strengthen the empirical evidence regarding the role of affective factors in mathematics learning and affirm that students’ psychological conditions also influence the development of higher-order thinking skills. This study implies the importance of teachers creating a supportive learning environment and implementing strategies that can reduce mathematics anxiety so that students’ mathematical critical thinking skills can develop optimally.

Abstract

The low understanding of mathematical concepts and students' learning interest remain major challenges in mathematics education at the Islamic Junior High School (MTs) level. This study aimed to analyze the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on students' understanding of mathematical concepts and learning interest. This research employed a quasi-experimental design with a static group comparison: Randomized Control-Group Only Design. The population comprised 37 eighth-grade students distributed across two classes. A total sampling technique was utilized due to the limited population size. The experimental and control classes were determined through a lottery method, following tests for normality, homogeneity, and equality of means based on daily test scores. Data were collected using an essay test and a questionnaire, and subsequently analyzed using a t-test. The findings revealed that the average scores for concept understanding and learning interest in the experimental class were 68.67 and 78.20, respectively. Meanwhile, the control class achieved average scores of 54.59 and 73.36, respectively. The t-test for concept understanding yielded , and the learning interest questionnaire yielded . These results indicate that Problem Based Learning has a significant effect on students' understanding of mathematical concepts and learning interest.
