<![CDATA[ABSTRACTThe purpose of this research is to examine the legal norms of the position of electric-powered bicycles, which until now do not have legal regulations as a mode of transportation, but have been widely used by society in various circles, including elementary and middle school-aged children, making it a problem in society, with using normative research methods that are strengthened by empirical evidence in the field.The results of this research illustrate that there is legal uncertainty in the regulation of electric-powered bicycles because vehicles as a mode of transportation are still ambiguous about whether they use the requirements for motorbikes or still use conventional bicycle regulations, so that empirical facts about regulation on highways reveal complexities and problems.The conclusion of this research is that regulations are needed regarding the use of battery-powered bicycles both at the industrial, trader and user levels so that the process of controlling and enforcing the law can run because it has a clear legal basis.Keywords, Bicycle, Transportation Mode and Settings ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji secara norma hukum kedudukan sepeda bertenaga listrik yang sampai saat ini belum memiliki aturan hukum sebagai mode transportasi, akan tetapi sudah banyak dipergunakan oleh masyarakat diberbagai kalangan termasuk anak-anak usia sekolah dasar dan sekolah menengah sehingga menjadi persoalan di masyarakat, dengan menggunakan metode penelitian normatif yang dikuatkan dengan pakta empiris di lapangan.Hasil penelitian ini menggambarkan bahwa terjadi ketidakpastian hukum dalam pengaturan sepeda bertenaga listrik dikarenakan kendaraan sebagai mode transportasi ini masih ambigu apakah menggunakan persyaratan sebagai sepeda motor atau masih tetap menggunakan aturan sepeda konvensional sehingga fakta empiris pengaturan dijalan raya menemukan kerumitan dan permasalahan.Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah diperlukan regulasi terkait dengan penggunaan sepeda bertenaga baterai baik di tingkat industri, pedagang dan pengguna sehingga proses penertiban dan penegakan hukum dapat berjalan karena memiliki dasar hukum yang jelasKata Kunci, Sepeda, Mode Transportasi dan Pengaturan.]]>
