Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve students' physical competence through a traditional game-based physical activity approach. The target of the activity is 60 students in grades IV and V of SD Negeri 4 Mangkura, Makassar City. The activity is carried out in three stages: pre-activity (coordination and needs assessment), implementation (teacher training, parent counseling, and game practice), and post-activity (evaluation and dissemination). The five aspects of physical competence measured include endurance, agility, balance, leg muscle strength, and motor coordination. The measurement results showed a significant increase in all aspects, with an average pre-activity score of 58–65 increasing to 72–80 after the program was implemented. Qualitatively, there was an increase in active student participation, changes in behavior towards being more disciplined and cooperative, and increased awareness of teachers and parents regarding the importance of local culture-based physical activity. This program also succeeded in reviving interest in traditional games in the school environment. This community service proves that the PJOK learning model that integrates local cultural values ​​through traditional games is able to improve physical competence while building student character. This activity is recommended to be expanded to other schools as part of strengthening character education and preserving culture.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kontribusi kecepatan gerak tangan, kelentukan pergelangan tangan, dan koordinasi mata-tangan terhadap keterampilan bermain tenis meja pada atlet Pengkot PTMSI Kota Makassar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan korelasional. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas 60 Atlet Tenis Meja Kota Makassar yang dipilih secara acak dari berbagai Perkumpulan Tenis Meja yang terdaftar di Pengkot PTMSI Kota Makassar dan memiliki pengalaman bermain tenis meja tingkat dasar hingga menengah. Variabel kecepatan gerak tangan diukur menggunakan Speed of Movement Test, kelentukan pergelangan tangan diukur dengan tes fleksibilitas pergelangan, dan koordinasi mata-tangan diukur melalui tes ketepatan pantulan bola. Keterampilan bermain tenis meja diukur menggunakan instrumen tes keterampilan tenis meja tingkat lanjut. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan korelasi Pearson dengan bantuan program SPSS versi terbarukemudian dilakukan uji determinant (r2). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecepatan gerak tangan berkontribusi sebesar 42.5% yang signifikan terhadap keterampilan bermain tenis meja sebesar 53,2%, kelentukan pergelangan tangan berkontribusi sebesar 36.1% yang signifikan terhadap keterampilan bermain tenis meja, dan koordinasi mata-tangan masing-masing berkontribusi 51% secara signifikan terhadap keterampilan bermain tenis meja (p < 0,05). Secara simultan, ketiga variabel tersebut memberikan kontribusi sebesar 65.9% yang bermakna terhadap keterampilan bermain tenis meja. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya penguasaan kemampuan fisik dasar sebagai fondasi keterampilan teknis dalam olahraga tenis meja, terutama pada konteks pembinaan dan pelatihan di tingkat dasar.Kata Kunci: kecepatan gerak tangan, kelentukan pergelangan tangan, koordinasi mata-tangan, keterampilan tenis meja
