Abstract

Vegetation analysis is important for regulating the balance of carbon dioxide and oxygen in the air, improving the physical, chemical, and biological properties of the soil, and managing groundwater. The aim is to determine the composition and structure of the plants present and located in the Cikapek Agrotourism area, Lebakparahiang Village, Leuwidamar District, Lebak Regency. The method used is sample plots measuring 100 m x 100 m (1 Ha) with 3 (three) observation plots, along the trail line there are plots at equal intervals. The plot sizes are (a) 5 m × 5 m for the sapling phase, (b) 20 m × 20 m for the tree phase. The observed tree growth phases: a. Mature trees with a diameter ≥ 20 CM b. Saplings, young trees with a height ≥ 1.5 M. Results indicate the plant species Cocos nucifera or coconut tree has the highest IVI (Important Value Index) of 0.92651% and the lowest Importance Value Index is the sugar palm plant with an IVI of 0.583%, and the lowest Important Value Index is the Waru plant with an IVI of 0.112%. However, the research should address broader regional planning concerns, integrating other biophysical factors to ensure a comprehensive and harmonious development strategy. This will help create an agrotourism area that supports ecological balance, aligns with the needs of the local community, and promotes long-term environmental sustainability.

Abstract

Urbanization is a city problem and the population continue to grow endlessly from year to year. Integrated Village is the North Jakarta Kodya village as one of the central government areas of the Republic of Indonesia, not spared from population problems (urbanization). The development of North Rawa Badak Village is inseparable from the rapid growth of the city of North Jakarta. The impact of these developments is mainly in terms of settlements, so it is known as a dense residential area that has the potential to create slums. The purpose of this study is to develop three fundamental assets of the community simultaneously: namely housing and settlement assets (a future village planning), economic assets and socio-cultural assets (rejuvenation, resettlement or rehabilitation of the environment of slums in the area). The methodology used is through quantitative and qualitative approaches called mix-method approaches. The quantitative approach is used to assess population development, population spatial density, and determinants of the level of slum area of an area which is carried out by quantitative methods such as scoring or weighting. While the qualitative approach is used to see the slum environment clusters as well as the socio-economic conditions of the community that are formed from trends due to slum criteria in the urban environment. Abstract

Sustainable building design requires the integration of structural efficiency, energy performance, and architectural expression. Steel structure is widely regarded as a strategic construction system because of its high strength-to-weight ratio, fabrication precision, reuse potential, and capacity to create long-span spaces. This article analyzes the contribution of steel structure to sustainable buildings through energy efficiency and aesthetics. The study applies a descriptive-comparative approach based on secondary data, literature review, and document analysis of three representative building typologies: office, industrial, and public long-span buildings. The findings indicate that steel structure supports sustainability through material efficiency and circularity, while also enabling passive design strategies such as daylight penetration and cross ventilation. Comparative scoring yields average values of 4.56 for sustainability, 4.44 for energy efficiency, and 4.56 for aesthetics on a five-point scale. Steel structure is therefore not only a structural system, but also an architectural device that connects environmental performance and visual identity. The study proposes an integrative model linking material efficiency, energy performance, and architectural expression as a basis for sustainable building design
