Abstract

The number of two-, four- or four-wheeled motorized vehicles is increasing in Jepara Regency. With the increasing number of vehicles, it is estimated that roads will experience damage in a relatively short time. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of vehicle traffic on the level of road damage and the relationship between vehicle traffic and the level of road asphalt damage. The method used to determine the value of road damage is the PCI method and the level of road damage uses the non-linear multiple regression method. This research was carried out on two roads, namely Jalan Keongsari – Blebak and Jalan Karanggondang – Mpurancak. It is known that the average damage that occurs on the Keongsari - Blebak road section is 39.29 (BAD) including the Overlay maintenance type, while the Karanggondang - Mpurancak road section has an average damage value of 67.14 (GOOD) if routine maintenance is carried out. pen type. The results of measuring the thickness of the additional layer (overlay) using the road composition analysis method on the Keongsari – Blebak road section obtained an additional layer thickness of 5 cm using LAPEN material. Meanwhile, the results of the relationship between vehicle traffic and road damage show that traffic (pcu/hour) and time (hours) have a large influence on road damage. This is shown by the results of determining the R2 coefficient of 86%. Keyword: Damage, Road, Flexure, Overlay, Highway.

Abstract

Congestion is caused by the increasing number of vehicles, however. Not matched by the increase in supporting transportation facilities. Jepara Regency is located in the province of Central Java, with an area of 1,004 km2. At Simpang Empat Mayong around the intersection there are shopping areas and educational institutions, this factor causes the high number of passing vehicles. In this study, researchers used the 1997 MKJI method and the Webster method. The peak flow occurs on Tuesday at 15.30-16.30 with vehicles 2920.5 pcu/hour. Side resistance on each approach is low. Jalan Mayong-Welahan peak traffic flow was 349.6 pcu/hour, Jalan Jepara-Kudus (B) was 811.1 pcu/hour, Jalan Mayong-Pancur was 301.7 pcu/hour and Jepara-Kudus (D) was 1133.5 pcu/hour. Degree of saturation on Mayong-Welahan road 1.28 pcu/hour and 82 seconds delay, Jepara-Kudus (B) road 1.30 pcu/hour 120 second delay, Mayong-Pancur road 1.29 pcu/hours with 98 second delay and Jepara-Kudus (D) degree of vehicle saturation is 1.29 pcu/hour with a delay of 98 seconds. Abstract

Demak City is a leading city center which is currently experiencing comprehensive development in all sectors. The increasing traffic volume on Jalan Sultan Fatah in front of Bintoro Demak Market, Demak District, Demak Regency, Central Java, is thought to be caused by busy market activity in the surrounding area. To determine the road's ability to fulfill its function, research was conducted to determine the area of side obstacles along Jl. Sultan Fatah. This research aims to assess the capacity and level of road saturation on Jl. Sultan Fatah. This research uses primary data, namely data collected directly from the field through administering questionnaires. The duration of the survey lasts for six consecutive days, namely Monday to Saturday, starting on July 24 and ending on July 29 2023. At the post-location survey and data management data collection stage, the data undergoes processing. to ascertain some road characteristics. These characteristics include traffic volume, road capacity, traffic flow speed, degree of saturation, side obstacle class, and instantaneous speed. The degree of saturation is set at 0.54 which indicates compliance with the specified threshold of 0.75. Keyword: Traffic Volume, Roads, Parking, Congestion, Markets.
