Abstract

Ransomware attacks have become a significant threat to cloud-based applications, posing severe risks to organizations' data integrity, financial stability, and operational continuity. This paper explores the challenges of securing cloud environments against ransomware, focusing on vulnerabilities such as inadequate encryption, weak access controls, and multi-tenancy risks. Through an in-depth analysis, the paper identifies the most common types of ransomware targeting cloud applications, including file encryption and data exfiltration ransomware, and discusses the security weaknesses that facilitate these attacks. The paper further evaluates existing cybersecurity strategies, such as data encryption, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and continuous monitoring, highlighting their effectiveness in preventing ransomware attacks. Based on these findings, a comprehensive framework is proposed, combining technical solutions like strong encryption and AI-based threat detection with organizational practices such as regular employee training and backup solutions. The study also emphasizes the importance of collaboration between cloud service providers and organizations to enhance overall cloud security. By adopting a multi-layered approach and integrating emerging technologies, organizations can significantly improve their resilience against ransomware threats. This research contributes to the ongoing dialogue on cloud security by providing actionable recommendations for preventing ransomware attacks and safeguarding cloud-based applications from evolving cyber threats.

Abstract

This study examines structural and spatial gaps in Indonesia’s railway network through a comparative analysis with Japan, India, the Philippines, and Uzbekistan, aiming to formulate adaptive, efficient, and sustainable railway modernization strategies. Using a qualitative descriptive-comparative approach grounded in pragmatism, the research emphasizes the policy relevance of global best practices adapted to Indonesia’s context. Lessons from Japan and India highlight network integration, business diversification, and logistics efficiency, while the Philippines and Uzbekistan demonstrate the importance of adaptive governance, technological innovation, and institutional reform in strengthening interregional connectivity. In Indonesia, modernization should integrate the roles of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI), the Directorate General of Railways, and local governments to enhance connectivity, improve logistics efficiency, and promote equitable regional development. These findings provide a conceptual and managerial reference for designing inclusive, adaptive, and equitable national public transport policies.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of gender, family economic background, and entrepreneurship education on the entrepreneurial interest of vocational high school students in Depok. Using a quantitative explanatory design, data were collected from 123 students via structured questionnaires and analyzed through t-tests, F-tests, and multiple linear regression. The results show that all three variables positively affect entrepreneurial interest, with entrepreneurship education emerging as the strongest predictor (β = 0.641, p < 0.001), followed by family background (β = 0.239, p = 0.006) and gender (β = 0.228, p = 0.012). These findings indicate that students’ entrepreneurial intention is primarily shaped by formal entrepreneurship education, supported by family influence and gender-related differences in confidence and risk orientation. The study emphasizes the importance of practical entrepreneurship education and a supportive family environment in fostering entrepreneurial interest among vocational students, contributing to a sustainable youth entrepreneurship ecosystem.
