Abstract

The aims of this study were: to analyze the effect of hard skills, soft skills and work environment partially and simultaneously on employee performance and to determine the dominant hard skill and soft skill competencies in employee work activities in government agencies. Theoretical studies and empirical studies are used as study material in this study to discuss research results. Judging from the analytical approach, this research is classified into quantitative research. The research method used in this research is descriptive and verification method. The analysis technique uses descriptive analysis and verification analysis, data processing uses the SPSS program. The results showed that hard skills had a significant effect on employee performance, soft skills had a significant effect on employee performance and the work environment had no significant effect on employee performance. Competence of hard skills and soft skills of employees in the field of administration which is implemented optimally can improve employee performance. The work environment at the regional secretariat offices needs to be organized and regulated efficiently and effectively in order to support the improvement of employee performance.
