Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mengetahui kevalidan modul matematika berbasis HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skill) dalam meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa kelas XI, 2) untuk mengetahui kepraktisan modul matematika berbasis HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skill) dalam meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa kelas XI dan 3) untuk mengetahui efektivitas modul matematika berbasis HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skill) dalam meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa kelas XI. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan Research and Development. Dengan model 4-D (four-D) Thiagarajan. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa 1) bab modul matematika berbasis HOTS sangat layak digunakan. 2) Modul matematika berbasis HOTS pada materi fungsi invers dan fungsi komposisi juga dikatakan sangat praktis digunakan, karena siswa dapat mengikuti pembelajaran dengan baik. 3) Melalui uji t-paired diperoleh nilai ????ℎ????????????????????=4,2 dan nilai ????????????????????????=1,694. Dan berdasarkan uji N-Gain yag dilakukan diperoleh dari nilai pretest dan posttest sebesar 0,32213 berada rentang 0,3 ≤ N-Gain ≤ 0,7 dengan tingkat keefektifan “sedang”. ABSTRACT   This study aims to 1) determine the validity of the HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skill) based mathematics module in improving the mathematical reasoning ability of grade XI students, 2) to determine the practicality of the HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skill) based mathematics module in improving the mathematical reasoning ability of grade XI students and 3) to determine the effectiveness of the HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skill) based mathematics module in improving the mathematical reasoning ability of grade XI students. This research method uses Research and Development. With Thiagarajan's 4-D (four-D) model. The results revealed that 1) the HOTS-based mathematics module chapter is very feasible to use. 2) HOTS-based mathematics modules on the material of inverse functions and composition functions are also said to be very practical to use, because students can follow the learning well. 3) Through the t-paired test, the value of, t-calculate = 4,2 and the value of, t-table = 1,694 are obtained. And based on the N-Gain test carried out obtained from the pretest and posttest values of 0.32213 in the range of 0.3 ≤ N-Gain ≤ 0.7 with a "medium" level of effectiveness.
