Abstract

Multiple pregnancies have a 2-3 times greater risk of developing preeclampsia and have a significant long-term effect on both mothers and babies. The underlying cause of preeclampsia in women with multiple pregnancies is higher demand on the cardiovascular system, increased exposure of the chorionic villi, increased antiangiogenic substances compared to angiogenic substances and placental hypoperfusion. The condition of preeclampsia can worsen quickly, and without warning signs, it must be detected and managed appropriately; if the treatment is late, this condition can lead to eclampsia. The patient was referred with severe preeclampsia and multiple pregnancies with complaints of irregular contraction (+), a history of dizziness (-), nausea (-), vomiting (-), blurred vision (-), and breathlessness (-). Physical examination showed Blood pressure 188/125 mmHg with laboratory findings of proteinuria +3. Cesarean section and IUD insertion were performed. During and after surgery, there were no complications.

Abstract

Dengue fever (DHF) is an acute infectious disease caused by dengue virus. Thrombocytopenia results from viral suppression in the bone marrow, and platelet destruction occurs. Damaged platelets worsen plasma leakage. When the amount of filtration fluid exceeds the ability and fluid trapped in the interstitium eventually enters the alveoli, there is an increase in alveolar capillaries, resulting in pulmonary oedema. The patient was referred with complaints of fever for 5 days, dizziness (+), shortness of breath (+), nausea (+), and vomiting (+). Laboratory examination showed platelets 109 x 103/µL, positive Ig G DHF Immuno Serology, and thorax X-ray with pulmonary oedema. Cesarean section and IUD insertion were performed. During and after surgery, there were no complications.

Abstract

Anaemia is a condition in which the number of red blood cells or the haemoglobin concentration within them is lower than normal. Thalassemia is a Mutation of the globin gene can cause changes in the globin chain, e.g. structural haemoglobinopathy or changes in the rate of synthesis or the production ability of certain globin chains. Epidemiological research in Indonesia found that the frequency of the beta thalassemia gene ranges from 3-10%. Case report of patient Mrs. T, 27 years old, HPHT: 01-10-2023, routine ANC examination every month, ANC examination results 18-19 weeks no complaints and laboratory examination results Hb 4.7. Patients with thalassemia beta major and intermediate need to be given regular transfusions and kept their hemoglobin levels above 10 mg/dl. All patients with homozygous thalassaemia should receive folic acid supplements.
