Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor penyebab rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat dalam membuang sampah sembarangan di Kelurahan Kemang Agung Kecamatan Kertapati Kota Palembang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian survey. Populasi penelitian ini berjumlah 5.302 Kepala Keluarga (KK), sampel penelitian menggunakan teknik Non Probability Sampling jenis Sampling Purposive dengan jumlah total sampel adalah 120 Kepala Keluarga (KK). Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian melalui dokumentasi, angket dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor penyebab rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat dalam membuang sampah sembarangan di Kelurahan Kemang Agung Kecamatan Kertapati Kota Palembang berdasarkan karakteristik responden tingkat umur, pendidikan dan jenis kelamin di antaranya yaitu faktor predisposisi memperoleh persentase rata-rata sebesar 65.53%. Berdasarkan data tersebut dapat di lihat bahwa faktor predisposisi mendapatkan persentase terendah maka di lakukan observasi untuk mengetahuinya bahwa hasil observasi menunjukkan terlihat perilaku membuang sampah sembarangan dan wilayah terlihat kumuh.

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of the Cambridge Curriculum in SMA Negeri 1 Palembang and its implications for students' higher-order thinking skills. This study uses quantitative methods and Ex Post Facto design. The subjects of this study were all 96 students in grades 10 and 11 of the Cambridge program. A total of 30 students were sampled using the non-probability sampling method. Data were collected through questionnaires and interviews. Analysis using one sample T-Test produced a significance level (2-Tailed) of around 0.001, which is smaller than 0.05. This shows that the implementation of the Cambridge curriculum has a significant impact on students' higher-order thinking skills, which is reflected through the curriculum framework with a wide selection of subjects and an emphasis on aspects of evaluation and higher-order thinking. In addition, this curriculum applies the principles of constructivism, where students play an active role in building knowledge and experience according to their interests in science, art, and language.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of the PAIKEM model in improving the critical thinking skills of students at SMP Negeri 46 Palembang. This study employs a qualitative approach using a descriptive method. The sampling technique used in this study is purposive sampling, with one primary informant and 36 research subjects. Data collection techniques include documentation, tests, and interviews. Data analysis techniques used in this study include data presentation and conclusions. Based on the results of this study, it was found that: the implementation of the PAIKEM model had a significant positive impact on improving students' critical thinking skills in Pancasila education. This was reflected in the gradual increase in students' test scores from the first meeting (average 69.57%) to the second meeting (average 82.06%) and the third meeting (average 88.94%). This study concludes that the PAIKEM model is effective in increasing students' active involvement in the learning process, creating a pleasant learning atmosphere, and developing critical thinking skills, particularly in analyzing, evaluating, and creating solutions to problems related to the learning material. However, the implementation of the PAIKEM model still faces various challenges, such as the limited time available for learning in the classroom.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of implementing game-based learning methods on the realization of meaningful learning in Pancasila Education at SMAN 1 Martapura. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method, specifically the non-equivalent group design. The population consisted of 358 tenth-grade students, with samples selected through purposive sampling. Class XC was designated as the experimental group, receiving treatment using the "Educational Bingo" media, while class XE served as the control group. Data were collected through documentation, cognitive tests, and questionnaires. The data analysis, conducted using the independent sample t-test, showed a significance value (sig. 2-tailed) of <.001 for the test instrument and 0.049 for the questionnaire. Given that both significance values were less than 0.05, the null hypothesis H0 was rejected, and the alternative hypothesis Ha was accepted. Therefore, it is concluded that the application of the game-based method using Educational Bingo has a significant influence on the realization of meaningful learning in Pancasila Education at SMAN 1 Martapura. This impact is evidenced by an increase in students' cognitive understanding in the experimental class, with an average pre-test to post-test improvement, and increase in non-cognitive aspects based on the questionnaire data.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the Ikatan Mahasiswa Kabupaten Muara Enim Sumatera Selatan (IMMETA Sumsel), particularly the Department of Social Community and Environment, in developing social care and environmental awareness among its members. The background of this study lies in the importance of character education in higher education as an effort to shape a young generation that is responsible, empathetic, and sensitive to social and environmental issues. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method, using data collection techniques such as interviews, observations, and documentation involving nine informants, consisting of the general chairperson, three administrators of the Department of Social Community and Environment, and five active members as supporting informants. The findings indicate that the Department of Social Community and Environment of IMMETA Sumsel plays a significant role in fostering both social care and environmental awareness among its members. Through various social and environmental activities, the department not only serves as a platform for developing the potential of student members but also as a medium for cultivating character values, particularly those related to social concern and environmental responsibility.
