Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor penyebab rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat dalam membuang sampah sembarangan di Kelurahan Kemang Agung Kecamatan Kertapati Kota Palembang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian survey. Populasi penelitian ini berjumlah 5.302 Kepala Keluarga (KK), sampel penelitian menggunakan teknik Non Probability Sampling jenis Sampling Purposive dengan jumlah total sampel adalah 120 Kepala Keluarga (KK). Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian melalui dokumentasi, angket dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor penyebab rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat dalam membuang sampah sembarangan di Kelurahan Kemang Agung Kecamatan Kertapati Kota Palembang berdasarkan karakteristik responden tingkat umur, pendidikan dan jenis kelamin di antaranya yaitu faktor predisposisi memperoleh persentase rata-rata sebesar 65.53%. Berdasarkan data tersebut dapat di lihat bahwa faktor predisposisi mendapatkan persentase terendah maka di lakukan observasi untuk mengetahuinya bahwa hasil observasi menunjukkan terlihat perilaku membuang sampah sembarangan dan wilayah terlihat kumuh.

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of the Cambridge Curriculum in SMA Negeri 1 Palembang and its implications for students' higher-order thinking skills. This study uses quantitative methods and Ex Post Facto design. The subjects of this study were all 96 students in grades 10 and 11 of the Cambridge program. A total of 30 students were sampled using the non-probability sampling method. Data were collected through questionnaires and interviews. Analysis using one sample T-Test produced a significance level (2-Tailed) of around 0.001, which is smaller than 0.05. This shows that the implementation of the Cambridge curriculum has a significant impact on students' higher-order thinking skills, which is reflected through the curriculum framework with a wide selection of subjects and an emphasis on aspects of evaluation and higher-order thinking. In addition, this curriculum applies the principles of constructivism, where students play an active role in building knowledge and experience according to their interests in science, art, and language.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of the PAIKEM model in improving the critical thinking skills of students at SMP Negeri 46 Palembang. This study employs a qualitative approach using a descriptive method. The sampling technique used in this study is purposive sampling, with one primary informant and 36 research subjects. Data collection techniques include documentation, tests, and interviews. Data analysis techniques used in this study include data presentation and conclusions. Based on the results of this study, it was found that: the implementation of the PAIKEM model had a significant positive impact on improving students' critical thinking skills in Pancasila education. This was reflected in the gradual increase in students' test scores from the first meeting (average 69.57%) to the second meeting (average 82.06%) and the third meeting (average 88.94%). This study concludes that the PAIKEM model is effective in increasing students' active involvement in the learning process, creating a pleasant learning atmosphere, and developing critical thinking skills, particularly in analyzing, evaluating, and creating solutions to problems related to the learning material. However, the implementation of the PAIKEM model still faces various challenges, such as the limited time available for learning in the classroom.
