Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) in fostering students' independent character at SD Negeri 4 Banda Aceh, as well as to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors involved. The research uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and documentation. The informants consist of the principal and four teachers actively involved in the implementation of P5. The results show that teachers play an active role as facilitators by integrating P5 values through project-based learning, supported by teacher collaboration, principal support, adequate infrastructure, and parental involvement. The implementation of P5 successfully cultivates students’ independence by assigning individual responsibilities and involving them in collaborative activities. The main supporting factors include principal support, teacher training, and active student participation, while the obstacles encountered include limited time, teachers’ lack of understanding of P5, and varying levels of student motivation. Collaborative efforts among teachers and continuous support from the school are key to optimizing the implementation of P5 in developing students' independent character within the framework of the Merdeka Curriculum.
