Abstract

This study aims to enhance the self-confidence of fourth-grade students at SDN Kayu Manis 01 East Jakarta in Pancasila Education through the Time Token-type Cooperative Learning model. The background is students' low self-confidence (62.5% in the low category) based on initial observations and questionnaires, characterized by hesitation in expressing opinions, dependence on teachers, and low resilience. The Classroom Action Research (CAR) method using the Kemmis & McTaggart model was conducted over three cycles (three meetings per cycle) with 32 students. Data collection instruments included teacher-student observation sheets, self-confidence questionnaires, and documentation. Results showed significant improvement: the percentage of students with self-confident attitudes increased from 47% (Cycle I) to 75% (Cycle II), reaching 87.5% (Cycle III). Teacher and student activities also consistently improved (Cycle I: 73% and 67%; Cycle III: 92% for both). The study concludes that the Time Token model effectively builds self-confidence through its speaking-token mechanism, ensuring equal participation, reducing dominance by specific students, and training courage to express opinions. The research highlights the importance of structured learning models for developing affective aspects in Pancasila Education.
