<![CDATA[Laporan Puskesmas Piyeung Kabupaten Aceh Besar Tahun 2020 terdapat 251 kasus rheumatoid arthritis pada lansia. Faktor yang mempengaruhi rheumatoid arthritis adalah jenis kelamin, usia lansia, obesitas, gaya hidup yang mengakibatkan terhambatnya pembuangan purin, penggunaan obat tertentu yang dapat menimbulkan rheumatoid arthritis. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi terjadinya penyakit rheumatoid arthritis pada lansia di Gampong Piyeung Manee Kecamatan Montasik Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Desain penelitian adalah deskriptif korelatif dengan populasi sebanyak 34 responden dan sampel sebanyak 34 responden menggunakan total sampling. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tanggal 23 s/d 31 Oktober 2021. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa ada hubungan antara jenis kelamin (P = 0,002), pengetahuan (P = 0,001), gaya hidup (P = 0,017), dan obesitas (P = 0,036) dengan terjadinya penyakit rheumatoid arthritis pada lansia di Gampong Piyeung Manee Kecamatan Montasik Kabupaten Aceh Besar Tahun 2021. Disarankan bagi Gampong dapat bekerja sama dengan puskesmas dalam memberikan informasi langsung kepada masyarakat tentang pencegahan penyakit rematik sejak dini dan bahaya penyakit bila tidak ditangani.Informasi tersebut dapat diberikan dengan melakukan penyuluhan kesehatan kepada seluruh masyarakat. Kata Kunci: Rheumatoid Arthritis, LansiaThe report of the Piyeung Health Center in Aceh Besar Regency in 2020 there were 251 cases of rheumatoid arthritis in the elderly. The results showed that there was a relationship between gender (P = 0.002), knowledge (P = 0.001), lifestyle (P = 0.017 ), and obesity (P = 0.036) with the occurrence of rheumatoid arthritis in the elderly in Gampong Piyeung Manee, Montasik District, Aceh Besar District in 2021. It is recommended that Gampong can work together with the puskesmas in providing direct information to the public about the prevention of rheumatic diseases early on and the dangers of disease if not treated.
