Abstract

abstrak—Penelitian ini berjudul “Penggunaan Idiom Bahasa Indonesia dalam Naskah Berita Terkini Radio Republik Indonesia”. Penelitian ini berbentuk deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan jenis idiom dan makna idiom bahasa Indonesia dalam naskah Berita Terkini Radio Republik Indonesia. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode simak yaitu menyimak berita dalam naskah Berita Terkini Radio Republik Indonesia. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah metode agih. Penyajian hasil analisis data dilakukan secara informal. Berdasarkan penelitian ini terdapat dua jenis idiom bahasa Indonesia yang digunakan dalam naskah Berita Terkini Radio Republik Indonesia yaitu idiom penuh dan idiom sebagian. Jenis idiom bahasa Indonesia yang lebih banyak digunakan yaitu idiom penuh berjumlah 27 idiom, sedangkan idiom sebagian berjumlah 13 idiom. Berdasarkan medan maknanya, makna idiom bahasa Indonesia dalam naskah Berita Terkini Radio Republik Indonesia terbagi menjadi sepuluh kelompok, yaitu makna yang menyatakan keadaan, makna yang menyatakan hal, makna yang menyatakan aktivitas, makna yang menyatakan rasa, makna yang menyatakan tempat, makna yang menyatakan sasaran, makna yang menyatakan benda, makna yang menyatakan waktu, makna yang menyatakan profesi, makna yang menyatakan pemilik. Medan makna idiom bahasa Indonesia yang lebih banyak digunakan dalam naskah Berita Terkini Radio Republik Indonesia yaitu makna yang menyatakan keadaan.Kata kunci—idiom, jenis idiom, idiom penuh, idiom sebagian, makna idiom Abstract—This researchentitle “Penggunaan Idiom Bahasa Indonesia dalam Naskah Berita Terkini Radio Republik Indonesia”. It is qualitative desriptive which has purpose to describe kinds of idioms and us meaning in Indonesian within the document of Berita Terkini Radio Republik Indonesia. The method of collecting data is observation method. It is observation the news within the document of Berita Terkini Radio Republik Indonesia. The method of data analysis that used is distribution method. The presentation of data analysis result is done by one way, informally. Based on this research there are two kinds of Indonesian idiom which used in Berita Terkini Radio Republik Indonesia l full idiom and partial idiom. The kinds of Indonesian which more used is full idiom 27 idioms, than partial idiom 13 idioms. Based on the domain, the meaning of Indonesian idiom in Berita Terkini Radio Republik Indonesia divides into ten groups. It is the meaning which states condition, the meaning which states something, the meaning which states activity, the meaning which states taste, the meaning which states place, the meaning which states target, the meaning which states things, the meaning which states time, the meaning which states profession, the meaning which states owner. The domain is more much used in Berita Terbaru Kantor Berita Radio Nasional the meaning which states condition.Keywords— idiom, the kinds of idiom, full idiom, partial idiom, the meaning of idiom

Abstract

Differences in cultural backgrounds, languages, and communication styles, particularly between students from Java and those from outside Java, create communication barriers in the 2023 Information Systems A class at STIKOM Yos Sudarso. These barriers affect classroom interaction and learning processes among students who come from diverse regions of Indonesia. Segregated seating patterns and suboptimal academic performance further illustrate the dynamics of the class. This study aims to analyze the application of Driyarkara’s andragogical concepts as a strategy to resolve intercultural communication conflicts and to create a more harmonious and effective learning environment. This research employs a qualitative method with data collected through literature review, interviews, group discussions, and reflective video analysis. Data were examined by comparing field findings and student reflections with theoretical frameworks. The results reveal four types of communication barriers: status effects, semantic problems, perceptual distortion, and cultural differences. The application of Driyarkara’s andragogy, emphasizing concrete experience, critical reflection, humanistic dialogue, and active participation, effectively reduces intercultural misunderstandings, enhances collaboration, and fosters a more harmonious, inclusive, and productive classroom atmosphere. In-depth discussions designed to uncover fundamental realities, along with shared reflection, allow students to understand one another’s cultural backgrounds, enabling more effective interpersonal communication. These findings affirm that humanistic and contextual learning approaches are effective in overcoming communication barriers in multicultural settings, particularly within modern higher education institutions
