Abstract

The ethics of a science is not the teaching of human actions weighed according to good and bad values, this assessment may be a compliment or a reproach and this will get a good or bad stamp. Ethics explains that we must follow moral teachings or how we can be responsible for our morals and behavior. At first he followed a group of Islamic theologians but because he had not yet found the ultimate truth, he took the path of the philosopher, because philosophers prioritize reason and reason has limitations in explaining the essential truth according to his expectations, so he took the path of the Batiniyah school, but at this time he felt that this is not true and leads astray, and for that he takes the path of Sufi or Sufism, a path that he considers to be the last path that must be taken by humans and to get the truth he longs for. Al-Ghazali's ethics that called his ethics knowledge towards the hereafter. The real happiness is the happiness in the hereafter. So this is what makes Al-Ghazali's ethics religious and Sufi, not similar to secular ethics, which always deals with human welfare in this life in the sense that happiness in the world and this is different from Al-Ghazali's ethics.
