Abstract

Agriculture is one of the most important sectors for society. Along with the times, many agricultural lands have been turned into residential areas, especially in office areas. Urban farming is a solution to overcome the limited land for farmingTherefore, there is a need for an innovation in the Hydroponic method, namely by making an automatic nutrient regulator in hydroponic plants. This research aims to make the provision of nutrients in hydroponic plants effective and efficient, as well as ease of monitoring by controlling through a smartphone. Controlling the actuator in the form of a pump can be done manually with keystroke instructions and can be done automatically with instructions based on the comparison of sensor readings and setpoints, namely if 1400 the regular water pump is on the nutrient pump is off, while if >=1050 and <=1400 both the nutrient pump and the regular water pump are off. Monitoring of nutrient levels (ppm) and water levels will continue to be displayed on the LCD and Blynk application both in manual mode and during automatic mode. The final result of testing this tool is found that the use of sensors in reading the value of nutrients (ppm) and adjusting the water level is more effective than manual nutrition. Because the sensor will intensely control the nutrient content needed by plants and the appropriate water level for Hydroponic plants. Monitoring of nutrient levels (ppm) and water levels can be seen through the LCD and in the Blynk application. The process of providing nutrients is done by controlling the pump to flow based on the instruction of the button press or based on the sensor reading with the setpoint.

Abstract

Indonesia is experiencing rapid development in the industrial sector, especially in the packaging and bottle filling industry. Research on microcontroller-based automatic bottle filling systems has also developed a lot. Reducing manufacturing costs and simplifying a working system is the goal of a process in industry, so it is necessary to design a prototype to maximize the charging system with the Arduino program without destroying accuracy in charging. With this prototype, the accuracy of the liquid volume, response time, and working system will be known so that in making this filling machine prototype, several stages are carried out including consultation, literature study, design, creation and testing of the system as well as analysis of the results obtained from testing the prototype. In this research, volume testing and total time testing for the entire system were carried out at an Arduino set point of 250 ml and an Arduino set point of 180 ml. The test process for filling 2 bottles in 1 process produces results, namely for a set point of 250 ml, it produces an average volume of 248 ml and an average total time of 57.195 seconds, while the test with a set point of 180 ml produces an average volume of 177 ml with the total average time is 47.638 seconds. So it can be stated that this prototype is capable of producing filling with relatively stable water volume results. The principle of this prototype system is simple, namely the system runs in a structured manner based on triggers from sensors and certain time intervals.

Abstract

Filling system technology is a technology for filling liquid into cups continuously which will make it easier for companies or small entrepreneurs to make drinks. In this technology, an Arduino Atmega 2560 microcontroller is needed as a system control, and an InfraRed (IR) sensor to detect the presence of an object (cup). This filling system technology is used continuously, using a conveyor as a tool to move objects from one place to another. The transfer of the place must have a fixed location so that the conveyor system has economic value. From this filling system, it achieved a success rate of 95% overall, while for sensor accuracy, it was obtained as much as 88% of the 20 cups that had been tested. While for filling milk in 10 cups, the average result was obtained on the first pump, which was 37.5 ml, and on the second pump, which was 49 ml.
