Abstract

Learning motivation is a key factor in educational success, influenced by various factors, including rewards. Rewards can be categorized into two types: intrinsic and extrinsic rewards. Intrinsic rewards refer to the satisfaction or sense of pride that comes from within the individual, such as the fulfillment from the effort made or awareness of achieving learning goals. In contrast, extrinsic rewards involve external factors such as prizes, praise, or recognition from others. This study explores the impact of both types of rewards on students' learning motivation. The results show that intrinsic rewards contribute the most to learning motivation, accounting for 34.21%, indicating that students who are more motivated by intrinsic rewards tend to have a higher level of motivation. Meanwhile, extrinsic rewards contribute 32.63%, suggesting that external rewards still play an important role in stimulating learning enthusiasm, although their contribution is slightly lower. Extrinsic rewards are relevant as an initial motivator, especially for students who need direct incentives to start or maintain their motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to test the practicality of the problem-based mathematics e-module based on circle material. The type of research used is comparative descriptive research. The subjects of this study were teachers and students of class IX at SMP Negeri 2 Tilamuta. The results showed that the assessment of using Problem Based Learning -based mathematics e-modules received positive responses from teachers with an average percentage of 87.23% and positive responses from students with an average percentage of 78.45%. The average percentage of teacher and student responses is in the very good category, the module meets the practical criteria. Based on the study result, it can be concluded that the Problem Base Learning -based mathematics e-module, Circle material, fulfils practicality so it is suitable for use in learning.
