Abstract

Learning process occurs because of interactions between a teacher and their environment, one of which is in the field of Physical Education, Sports, and Health (Pendidikan Jasmani Olahraga & Kesehatan which called as PJOK). PJOK learning involves high levels of activity in conducting sports, whether on the outdoors or indoors. PJOK teachers are highly susceptible to shoulder injuries which are caused by excessive activities and sudden movements. It can leads on unbearable pain, spasms, joint stiffness, limited range of motion in the shoulder joint, and reduced functional activities of the shoulder in daily tasks. One common injury is shoulder injury caused by pain. Shoulder is a joint that connects the body to the upper extremities. The primary function of the shoulder joint is to move the arms and hands into various positions relative to the body. Consequently, the shoulder joint is highly dynamic and relatively unstable. Excessive activities from tasks that heavily involve the shoulder can lead to shoulder injuries, manifesting as localized pain, spasms, and paresthesia. The objectives of this community service are: 1) to provide knowledge about Codman pendulum exercises for shoulder conditions caused by pain, 2) o offer pain relief through the exercises provided, and 3) to enhance the functional activity of the shoulder affected by shoulder pain. The method used includes theoretical and practical training in providing exercises aimed at improving the functional activity of the shoulder caused by pain using Codman pendulum exercises for PJOK teachers in Solok Regency. The results of this activity show an improvement in the knowledge and skills of PJOK teachers in addressing shoulder injuries causing pain by using Codman pendulum exercises.
