<![CDATA[ABSTRACT Adherence is a positive behavior carried out by the patient to achieve therapeutic goals that are determined jointly between the patient and the health care worker. One of the factors that influence compliance is the role of nurse educators in the provision of discharge planning. The purpose of the study was to analyze the effect of the program on improving the role of nurse educators in discharge planning on inpatient compliance for control in the Bougenville Room of Dr. Haryoto Lumajang Hospital. This research uses quasy experiment design with Posttest-Only Control Design. Inthis design there are two groups namely the control group and the intervention group, the sample obtained by purposive sampling technique with the number of respondents in each group of 16 respondents, analysis using the Mann-Whitney test. Mann-Whitney test results obtained ρ value = 0.006 and α = 0.05 then ρ <α. Itmeans that there is an effect of the program to increase the role of the nurse educator in the implementation of discharge planning on the level of compliance of inpatients for control at RSUD dr. Haryoto Lumajang Hospital. ABSTRAK Kepatuhan adalah perilaku positif yang dilakukan oleh pasien untuk mencapai tujuan terapeutik yang ditentukan bersama-sama antara pasien dan petugas kesehatan.Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi kepatuhan adalah peran educator perawat dalam pemberian discharge planning.Tujuan penelitian menganalisis pengaruh program peningkatan peran educator perawat dalam discharge planning terhadap kepatuhan pasien rawat inap untuk kontrol di Ruang Bougenville RSUD dr.Haryoto Lumajang.Penelitian ini menggunakan desain quasy experiment dengan rancangan bangun Posttest-Only Control Design.Dalam design ini terdapat dua kelompok yaitu kelompok kontrol dan kelompok intervensi,sampel diperolehdengan teknikpurposive samplingdengan jumlah responden masing-masing kelompok 16 responden, analisis menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney.Hasil uji Mann-Whitney didapatkan ρ value = 0,006dan α = 0,05 maka ρ < α. artinya terdapat pengaruh program peningkatan peran educator perawat dalam pelaksanaan discharge planning terhadap tingkat kepatuhan pasien rawat inap untuk kontrol di RSUD dr.
