Abstract

Ekosistem halal merupakan sistem terintegrasi yang melibatkan berbagai pemangku kepentingan, seperti pemerintah, lembaga sertifikasi, pelaku industri, lembaga keuangan syariah, dan konsumen, yang secara sinergis berkontribusi dalam mendukung pertumbuhan dan keberlanjutan produk halal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara komprehensif peran ekosistem halal dalam pengembangan produk halal di Indonesia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa studi literatur dan wawancara semi-terstruktur terhadap pelaku usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah (UMKM) serta lembaga pendukung ekosistem halal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterlibatan aktif seluruh komponen dalam ekosistem halal berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan daya saing produk halal, penguatan kepercayaan konsumen, serta perluasan pasar domestik dan global. Namun demikian, tantangan yang masih dihadapi mencakup birokrasi dalam proses sertifikasi halal, rendahnya literasi halal di kalangan pelaku usaha, dan keterbatasan akses pembiayaan berbasis syariah. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan kebijakan yang terintegrasi, simplifikasi prosedur sertifikasi, serta penguatan sinergi antar lembaga untuk menciptakan ekosistem halal yang inklusif dan berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi konseptual dan praktis dalam pengembangan strategi nasional ekonomi halal yang berdaya saing global.   The halal ecosystem is an integrated system involving various stakeholders, including government institutions, certification bodies, industry players, Islamic financial institutions, and consumers, all of whom contribute synergistically to the growth and sustainability of halal products. This study aims to comprehensively examine the role of the halal ecosystem in the development of halal products in Indonesia. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, using data collection techniques such as literature review and semi-structured interviews with micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) as well as relevant supporting institutions. The findings indicate that active involvement from all components within the halal ecosystem contributes to enhanced competitiveness of halal products, strengthened consumer trust, and expanded access to both domestic and international markets. Nevertheless, several challenges remain, including bureaucratic barriers in the halal certification process, low halal literacy among business actors, and limited access to Sharia-compliant financing. Therefore, integrated policies, simplification of certification procedures, and strengthened institutional synergy are essential to build an inclusive and sustainable halal ecosystem. This study is expected to offer both conceptual and practical contributions to the formulation of a national strategy for the development of a globally competitive halal economy.
