<![CDATA[Abstract : This research aims to increase students' understanding of the material about recognizing numbers 1-10 through a problem solving learning model. One of the objectives of mathematics subjects given in schools is so that students are able to face changing conditions in a world that is always developing, through practicing acting on the basis of thinking logically, rationally, critically, carefully and responsibly. This research method is by using classroom action research (CAR). The research procedure generally includes four stages, namely: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The instruments used by researchers in this research were question sheets and observation sheets, while the data analysis technique in this research used descriptive techniques. The results and average score obtained by students in cycle I is 60, but it is not considered complete with a percentage of 25%. In cycle II, the students' average score was 87.5, which was said to be complete with a percentage of 100%. In cycle II, students already understand the material about recognizing numbers from 1 – 10, because they have achieved the specified KKM.Keywords : Problem Solving Learning Model, Understanding Numbers. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa pada materi mengenal angka 1-10 melalui model pembelajaran problem solving. Salah satu tujuan mata pelajaran matematika diberikan di sekolah agar peserta didik mampu menghadapi perubahan keadaan didunia yang selalu berkembang, melalui latihan bertindak atas dasar pemikiran yang secara logis, rasional, kritis, cermat, dan bertanggung jawab. Metode penelitian ini yaitu dengan menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Prosedur penelitian secara garis besar meliputi empat tahap yaitu : perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Instrumen yang digunakan peneliti dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan lembar soal dan lembar observasi, sedangkan teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik deskriptif. Hasil dan perolehan nilai rata – rata siswa pada siklus I adalah 60 belum dikatakan tuntas dengan persentase 25 %. Pada siklus II hasil perolehan nilai rata – rata siswa adalah 87,5 sudah dikatakan tuntas dengan persentase 100 %. pada siklus II ini siswa sudah memahami materi mengenal angka dari 1 – 10, karena tercapai KKM yang ditentukan.Kata Kunci : Model Pembelajaran Problem Solving, Pemahaman Mengenal Angka.]]>
