Abstract

The maturity of the Christian faith is shown through faithfulness in faith and perseverance in following the teachings of the Bible. The letter to the Hebrews is one of the letters that anticipates the potential apostasy of the Jewish Christians. Some commentators misunderstand Hebrew’s letter theology through inadequate interpretation. The discussion of the concept of apostasy has influenced the interpreters in concluding his theory. The concept of the unity of faith and perseverance in the Christian faith is rarely discussed by observers of the Hebrews. This paper describes how true Christian faith is always related to perseverance in the Christian faith. In this way, the debate about the concept of apostasy in Hebrews can be avoided. Through the exposition of Hebrews 12:1-3, it has been concluded that perfect faith is always followed by perseverance in faith.

Abstract

Modern-day Christians live in the face of the fact that the world's financial system is heavily influenced by debt. To understand the principle of living free from debt bondage, it is not only a matter of how a person can pay off his debts, but how he has a good character and lives in the guidance of God's wisdom. That is why the author conducted a study of the Book of Proverbs, because the Book of Proverbs is not only full of poetic beauty and soft nuances full of meaning in life, it also contains the wisdom of God from ancient times which is still relevant today which fills all its pages. This study uses the wisdom hermeneutic method to find 3 (three) principles to prevent someone from falling into debt, namely: First, the principle of a guarded heart; Second, the principle of an expert hand; and Third, the principle of a trusted mouth.

Abstract

Memperkenalkan Kerajaan Allah merupakan bagian dari misi Yesus ke dunia, dan Kerajaan Allah ditawarkan kepada semua orang termasuk anak-anak. Di sinilah perspektif Yesus tentang anak dapat dilihat sebagai upaya Yesus untuk memulihkan identitas anak-anak yang salah selama ini. Apa yang dilakukan Yesus dalam cerita ini sangat jelas terlihat bahwa Ia melayani dengan penuh kasih dan penuh kuasa. Tulisan ini bertujuan bagaimana melihat perspektif Yesus tentang anak-anak dan hubungannya dengan psikologi sosial anak khususnya tentang identitas anak (self concept) dan peran orang tua di dalamnya. Anak-anak ditampilkan sebagai entitas yang lemah dan kerap di sisikan dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan, baik itu di masyarakat maupun di dalam bidang agama. Mereka selalu menjadi objek perlakuan diskriminatif dari orang dewasa khususnya.Dengan mengunakan metode analisi teks dan eksegesis. Ditemukan beberapa fakta terkait dengan identitas anak (self concept) dan peran orang tua. Dalam perpektif Yesus anak-anak merupakan bagian penting dari Kerajaan Allah, genarasi pemimpin di masa depan. Teladan Yesus tentang memberi kesempatan yang sama kepada anak-anak, bersedia membela, mengajar, memeluk dan memberkati mereka mereka adalah prinsip penting bagi orang tua.
