Abstract

In carrying out its business activities, every company, both small, medium and large companies, really needs accounting calculations to produce financial reports. The financial statements produced by the company include a statement of financial position and a statement of income. Companies generally need an income statement to see how the business is performing and as a basis for making business decisions. The income statement provides information on how much company turnover can be generated and the costs that have been incurred in terms of obtaining sales revenue. The excess between revenue and costs will provide information that the company is experiencing a profit. Nasi Empal Bu Marie is a restaurant business with a franchise system using its original name Nasi Empal Bu Marie in Semarang. Nasi Empal Bu Marie in Jakarta is classified as an UMKM which was founded in July 2022 with 7 employees. The Company still uses simple records and is done manually. Statement of profit and loss are not made regularly every month. Companies need guidance and training to prepare profit and loss reports to find out the company's financial condition, the condition of stocks of goods that are recorded and more controlled as well as more measurable financial information to make decisions. Lecturer of FEB Untar majoring in Accounting conducts the one-day training, which went well with the aim that administrative employees can understand how to record sales transactions in a routine and structured manner and company owners can obtain financial information and business performance.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Since the Indonesian government was able to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic and turned it into an endemic, many SME companies have emerged again, especially those operating in the restaurant sector. Restaurant businesses on an SME scale are expected to contribute to economic development, for this reason these businesses are also expected to have adequate accounting and financial reporting processes. Nasi Empal Bu Marie Restaurant, located in West Jakarta, is an SME scale restaurant founded in 2023, and has 7 employees. Currently, the restaurant use a simple system to record sales, purchase and payment of operational costs and have never prepared a balance sheet and do not have adequate cash management. This need was addressed by FEB lecturers in collaboration with FEB students to provide training including explaining transaction account codes, recording journals, preparing balance sheets, preparing cash disbursement systems and procedures which include cash calculations (cash opname), cash reports. Assistance funds for this training came from LPPM UNTAR to provide soft skills for accounting training. The aim of this training is so that companies can prepare balance sheet report which are very useful for measuring business performance and business development and have an adequate internal control system for cash disbursements. This training was carried out in September 2023 with training material on making transaction journals, balance sheets, cash reports, cash calculation reports. This training received a very positive response from owners and employees. ABSTRAK Semenjak Pemerintah Indonesia sudah bisa mengatasi pandemic covid-19 dan beralih ke endemi, banyak sekali perusahaan berskala UMKM bermunculan kembali, terutama yang bergerak di bidang rumah makan. Usaha rumah makan dengan skala UMKM diharapkan bisa memiliki kontribusi untuk perkembangan ekonomi, untuk itu maka usaha ini juga diharapkan memiliki proses pencatatan akuntansi dan pelaporan keuangan yang memadai. Setiap usaha yang didirikan harus memiliki suatu informasi keuangan yang dapat diukur kinerjanya, sehingga pemilik perusahaan dapat mengembangkan usahanya maupun mencari mitra bisnis lainnya. Rumah Makan Nasi Empal Bu Marie yang berlokasi di Jakarta-Barat merupakan rumah makan dengan skala UMKM didirikan pada tahun 2023, dan memiliki 7 karyawan. Saat ini rumah makan dalam mencatat transaksi penjualan, pembelian, dan pembayaran biaya operasional menggunakan sistem yang sederhana dan belum pernah membuat laporan neraca, serta tidak memiliki pengelolaan uang kas yang memadai. Kebutuhan ini ditanggapi oleh Dosen FEB bekerjasama dengan mahasiswa FEB untuk memberikan pelatihan meliputi penjelasan kode akun transaksi, jurnal pencatatan, penyusunan neraca, penyusunan sistem dan prosedur pengeluaran uang kas yang meliputi perhitungan kas (cash opname), laporan kas. Dana bantuan untuk pelatihan ini berasal dari LPPM UNTAR dalam memberikan soft skill pelatihan akuntansi. Tujuan dari pelatihan ini agar perusahaan bisa menyusun laporan neraca yang sangat berguna untuk mengukur kinerja usaha dan pengembangan usahanya serta memiliki sistem pengendalian internal yang memadai untuk pengeluaran kas. Pelatihan ini telah dilakukan pada bulan September 2023 dengan materi pelatihan pembuatan jurnal transaksi, neraca, laporan kas, laporan perhitungan kas. Pelatihan ini mendapat tanggapan yang sangat positif dari pemilik dan karyawan.
