Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to analyze the influence of Total Quality Management (TQM) principles, including customer focus, teamwork, continuous improvement, training and education, and employee empowerment, on the performance of CV Kirana Bahari Indonesia.    Design/methodology/approach – This quantitative study uses primary data collected through questionnaires distributed to 82 permanent employees of CV Kirana Bahari Indonesia. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS to examine the simultaneous and partial effects of TQM variables on company performance.   Findings – The results indicate that customer focus, teamwork, continuous improvement, training and education, and employee empowerment simultaneously have a significant effect on company performance. However, only customer focus and employee empowerment show significant partial effects, while teamwork, continuous improvement, and training and education do not significantly influence performance.   Originality/value – This study contributes to TQM literature by highlighting that successful TQM implementation depends not only on the presence of quality management practices but also on organizational context, implementation effectiveness, and employee involvement in achieving performance improvement.
