Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji urgensi penerapan Metode Ilhamqu dalam meningkatkan kualitas menghafal Al-Qur’an di Pondok Pesantren Assalafie Babakan Ciwaringin Cirebon. Metode Ilhamqu merupakan pendekatan pembelajaran tahfidz yang holistik, sistematis, dan terstruktur, yang tidak hanya menekankan kemampuan hafalan secara kuantitatif, tetapi juga memperhatikan ketepatan bacaan, pemahaman makna, konsistensi muroja’ah, serta pembentukan karakter santri. Urgensi penerapan metode ini muncul dari berbagai tantangan yang dihadapi dalam pendidikan tahfidz, antara lain perbedaan kemampuan menghafal antar santri, kesulitan mempertahankan hafalan dalam jangka panjang, rendahnya fokus saat belajar, dan kebutuhan untuk menumbuhkan motivasi internal yang kuat. Metode Ilhamqu dirancang untuk menjembatani tradisi pesantren klasik dengan kebutuhan pendidikan modern, sehingga proses menghafal Al-Qur’an menjadi lebih efektif, menyenangkan, dan relevan. Melalui integrasi pendekatan visual, auditif, dan kinestetik, santri dibimbing untuk menghafal dengan lebih mudah, menjaga hafalan lama, dan menambah hafalan baru secara berkelanjutan. Selain aspek teknis, metode ini juga menekankan pembentukan akhlak mulia, disiplin, tanggung jawab, dan kecintaan terhadap Al-Qur’an, sehingga peserta didik tumbuh sebagai insan Qur’ani yang tidak hanya unggul dalam hafalan, tetapi juga memiliki karakter yang kokoh dan berintegritas. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan memberikan kontribusi teoretis dan praktis bagi pengembangan model pembelajaran tahfidz di pesantren, serta menjadi acuan bagi lembaga pendidikan Islam dalam mencetak generasi Qur’ani yang siap menghadapi tantangan kehidupan modern tanpa kehilangan identitas spiritual. Dengan demikian, Metode Ilhamqu menjadi tonggak penting dalam memperkuat pendidikan Al-Qur’an yang efektif, berkelanjutan, dan berorientasi pada pengembangan karakter santri. Abstract This study aims to examine the urgency of implementing the Ilhamqu Method to improve the quality of Quran memorization at the Assalafie Babakan Ciwaringin Islamic Boarding School in Cirebon. The Ilhamqu Method is a holistic, systematic, and structured approach to learning Quran memorization. It emphasizes not only quantitative memorization skills but also pays attention to reading accuracy, understanding meaning, consistency of muroja'ah (recitation), and character development of students. The urgency of implementing this method arises from various challenges faced in Quran memorization education, including differences in memorization abilities among students, difficulty maintaining memorization over the long term, low focus during learning, and the need to cultivate strong internal motivation. The Ilhamqu Method is designed to bridge the traditions of classical Islamic boarding schools with the needs of modern education, making the process of memorizing the Quran more effective, enjoyable, and relevant. Through the integration of visual, auditory, and kinesthetic approaches, students are guided to memorize more easily, maintain existing memorization, and continuously add new ones. In addition to technical aspects, this method also emphasizes the development of noble character, discipline, responsibility, and a love for the Quran, so that students grow into Quranic individuals who excel not only in memorization but also possess strong character and integrity. The results of this study are expected to provide theoretical and practical contributions to the development of tahfidz learning models in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren), as well as serve as a reference for Islamic educational institutions in producing a generation of Quranic students prepared to face the challenges of modern life without losing their spiritual identity. Thus, the Ilhamqu Method is a significant milestone in strengthening effective, sustainable Quranic education that is oriented toward developing the character of students.
