Abstract

Language is one of the most important skills in the communication process that occurs during interaction. Language ability is closely related to brain function. This study aims to explain the relationship between the brain and human language. The results show that Broca’s area and warnicke’s area in the left hemisphere of the brain play a major role in language processing and comprehension. Broca’s area functions in word formation and pronunciation, while warnicke’s area plays a role in the meaning and comprehension of speech or utterances. In addition, the nervous system and brain also influence language abilities, such as reading, writing, and listening. If there is a disruption in one of the brain area, it can cause language disorders, such as aphasia. Thus, it can be concluded that language is not only a tool for communication, but also a means of conveying thoughts, ideas and feelings that are the result of the activity of the complex nervous system in the human brain.
