Abstract

The development of digital technology has transformed the communication landscape, including the practice of Islamic da'wah. While mosques, as traditional centres of da'wah, continue to play a crucial role as a means of social communication, social media has emerged as a new platform capable of reaching a wider audience without the constraints of time and space. Various studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of digital da'wah through platforms such as Instagram and TikTok in enhancing religious knowledge, shaping the religious attitudes of congregations, and expanding the reach of da'wah messages. This phenomenon has also impacted the world of education, particularly for Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers, who are required to adapt da'wah strategies to suit the digital culture of the younger generation. PAI teachers at SMA Swasta Utama Medan, for example, face challenges such as limited facilities, a digital literacy gap, and the potential for misuse of social media. Therefore, this study aims to uncover PAI teachers' strategies for da'wah through social media, analyze student responses to digital da'wah, and explore the challenges and solutions. Previous studies confirm that the success of digital da'wah is determined not only by the creativity of engaging and interactive content, but also by technological literacy, spiritual depth, and digital infrastructure support. With the right use of technology, digital preaching has the potential to become a transformational strategy in strengthening students' religious understanding and the relevance of Islamic education in the modern era
