Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini dilaksanakan di Pondok Pesantren Raudhatul Firdaus, Sungai Ambawang, dengan tujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan perilaku santri terhadap Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS) serta keterampilan dalam mengolah limbah dapur menjadi eco enzyme sebagai bahan pembuatan sanitizer. Metode yang digunakan adalah Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) yang melibatkan 30 santri melalui tahapan sosialisasi, pelatihan, praktik, dan pendampingan. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan uji t berpasangan dan Wilcoxon signed-rank test. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan sebesar 36,9% pada kegiatan PHBS dan 70% pada praktik eco enzyme, serta peningkatan sikap sebesar 9,3% dan 83,3%. Program ini berkontribusi terhadap SDGs 3 (Good Health and Well-being) dan SDGs 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production). Edukasi berbasis partisipatif terbukti efektif dalam membangun kesadaran dan keterampilan pengelolaan limbah di lingkungan pesantren menuju kehidupan sehat dan berkelanjutan. Promotion of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) and Utilization of Kitchen Waste as Eco-Enzymes at Raudhatul Firdaus Islamic Boarding School  This Community Service Program (PKM) was conducted at Raudhatul Firdaus Islamic Boarding School, Sungai Ambawang, aiming to improve students’ knowledge and behavior regarding Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) and enhance their skills in processing kitchen waste into eco enzymes for sanitizer production. The method used was the Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) approach, involving 30 students through stages of socialization, training, practice, and mentoring. Evaluation was conducted using paired t-tests and Wilcoxon signed-rank tests. Results showed an increase in knowledge by 36.9% in PHBS activities and 70% in eco enzyme practice, as well as an improvement in attitude by 9.3% and 83.3%. The program contributes to SDGs 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDGs 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production). Participatory education proved effective in building awareness and skills in waste management within the boarding school environment, promoting healthy and sustainable living
