Abstract

The case of land seizure by the Walinagari in Lubuk Ulang Aling, Sangir Batanghari District,South Solok Regency,reflect an agrarian conflict involving tensions between the local community and the local government.This conflict arose from a unilateral claim on the land belonging to H.Werhanudin,who holds a legal land certificate,by the Walinagari and several youth figures,under the pretext of serving the interests of the community.This action triggered riost and violence,including the assault of family members of the landowner.This conflict is analyzed through johan Galtung’ conflict theory,which distinguishes between direct violence,structural violence,and cultural violence.from this perspective,the land seizure exemplifies structual violence in society,where power imbalances and social injusties examplifies of power ineguality and unjust land management persist.A more comprehensive resolution reguires changes in social structures and agrarian laws that are more inclusive,as well as raising must addreas both scruactual violence and cultural violence to achieve a more equitel and sustainable justice system.
