Abstract

This study examines the relationship between teachers' resilience levels and their understanding of students' psychosocial aspects at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ihsaniyah 01 Debong Tengah using a correlational quantitative approach with a sample of all teachers (n=18). The instruments used were based on the Connor & Davidson resilience scale and Mitchell's psychosocial indicators. The Cronbach's alpha reliability results for the resilience scale were 0.925, and for the psychosocial understanding scale were 0.836, indicating that the scales were reliable for use. The results showed that most teachers had moderate levels of resilience and psychosocial understanding. Pearson's correlation analysis produced a coefficient of 0.471 with a p-value = 0.049 at a 95% confidence interval, indicating a significant positive relationship between teacher resilience and students' psychosocial understanding, with teacher resilience contributing 22% to the variation in psychosocial understanding. This study emphasizes the importance of strengthening teacher resilience through training and psychological support, especially in Islamic education. Developing teacher resilience not only supports the well-being of teachers themselves but also has a positive impact on student development and well-being.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of academic stress, the coping mechanisms used, and the effect of coping mechanism interventions on the academic stress of eighth-semester students at FITK IBN Tegal. This study uses a quantitative method with a case study approach as a complement. The sample size was 31 students from a total population of 125 people selected using accidental sampling. Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS version 24. The results of the study indicate that both academic stress levels and coping mechanisms fall into the moderate category. There is a significant influence between coping mechanisms and academic stress (p = 0.039 < 0.05) with a negative regression coefficient of -0.338, indicating that an increase in coping mechanism interventions is correlated with a decrease in academic stress levels. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.139 indicates that coping mechanisms contribute 14% to academic stress. This finding highlights the importance of strengthening coping strategies in supporting the mental health of students in their final year of study.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze coping resources and perceived stress levels among students at the Bakti Negara Islamic Institute in Tegal and to examine the relationship between the two variables. The research method used a correlational quantitative approach with a sample of 38 students selected through convenience sampling. The instruments used were the Brief Cope Scale and the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS). The results showed that the majority of students were in the moderate coping category (68.4%) and moderate stress category (57.9%). The correlation test yielded a value of r = -0.383; p = 0.018, which means that there is a significant negative relationship between coping resources and perceived stress. The better the students' coping strategies, the lower their perceived stress levels. These findings emphasize the importance of strengthening adaptive coping strategies through psychological counseling and stress management training in higher education institutions, as a form of intervention that is expected to improve psychological well-being and build students' resilience in facing various life challenges.
