Abstract

ABSTRACT The phenomenon of juvenile delinquency and the decline of learning responsibility among the younger generation have become profound concerns in the contemporary era, exacerbated by the impacts of technological development and globalization. These two issues are often manifestations of the same root problem: a crisis of values and morals. This study aims to (a) analyze the causal factors and the circular relationship between juvenile delinquency and the crisis of learning responsibility, (b) examine relevant key concepts in Islamic teachings, and (c) formulate a holistic solution framework. The method used is qualitative research with a library research approach, critically analyzing various literary sources. The results show that juvenile delinquency and the crisis of learning responsibility are mutually reinforcing. The Islamic perspective offers a fundamental solution through the concepts of amanah (trust), mas'uliyyah (accountability), and the urgency of seeking knowledge (thalabul 'ilmi) as the foundation for character building. In conclusion, an effective solution must be integrated across three pillars: revitalizing the role of the family, optimizing Islamic educational institutions in instilling adab (ethics), and empowering adolescents through a spiritual-intellectual approach.
