Abstract

Introduction: Caesarean section is a delivery procedure performed through a surgical incision in the mother’s abdomen and uterine wall to deliver the baby. Purpose: to determine the effect of early mobilization support on physical activity and ambulation in post-caesarean section patients with physical mobility impairment in the Flamboyan Ward of Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Regional Hospital, Purwokerto. Methods: The method used in this study was a case study approach involving 2 post caesarean section patients. Results: Physical activity in the case study subjects increased from a scale of 2 (moderately decreased) to a scale of 5 (improved). This indicates that early mobilization support is effective in enhancing physical activity in post-caesarean section patients. Conclusion: Providing physical mobilization support can be applied as a non-pharmacological therapy to improve physical activity in post-caesarean section patients.
