Abstract

A weak school culture often becomes an obstacle in achieving sustainable educational quality. The problems that arise include low teacher participation, weak collaboration among school members, and the lack of visionary leadership capable of inspiring all elements within the educational institution. This study aims to analyze the role of visionary leadership in strengthening school culture, particularly how a leader’s vision, values, and exemplary behavior influence the formation of an educational organization’s character. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by examining various previous studies relevant to visionary leadership and school culture across different educational contexts. The findings indicate that visionary leadership has a significant influence on improving teachers’ work ethic, collaboration, and innovation, as well as contributing to the creation of a positive and adaptive school culture. The implication of this study emphasizes the importance of strengthening visionary leadership capacity among school principals to build an organizational culture that is characterized, participatory, and oriented toward sustainable educational quality.

Abstract

The transformation of the public relations (PR) role in crisis communication has become a strategic issue in managing educational institutions in the era of social media. Advances in communication technology present new challenges, where the flow of information moves rapidly, openly, and beyond the full control of institutions. This study aims to analyze how PR adapts in managing public communication and reputation crises through the use of social media as the main platform. The method used is library research by reviewing literature related to educational public relations, social media, crisis communication, and the dynamics of digital transformation. The findings show that PR no longer functions merely as an information disseminator, but rather as an active, responsive, and data-driven public relations manager. PR professionals must possess digital competencies such as creative content production, audience analysis, and real-time issue and crisis mitigation. Social media offers great opportunities for institutional branding, but it also presents risks of negative issues and hoaxes that may damage reputation. Therefore, the implementation of a structured, ethical crisis communication strategy that focuses on restoring public trust is crucial. This study emphasizes that the transformation of the PR role is a key determinant in sustaining the reputation of educational institutions amid increasing competition and the complex dynamics of digital communication.

Abstract

strategic planning, a lack of organizational order, and suboptimal supervision and evaluation systems. These conditions indicate a gap between the ideal Islamic values and managerial practices in Islamic educational institutions. In addition, studies on Islamic education management that are directly based on the Qur’an remain limited and tend to be normative in nature. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the principles of Islamic education management from the perspective of the Qur’an and to relate them to contemporary theories of Islamic education management. This research employs a qualitative approach using library research. The primary data consist of Qur’anic verses relevant to educational management principles, namely Qur’an Surah Al-Hasyr verse 18, Surah Ash-Shaff verse 4, and Surah Al-Mujadilah verse 7, while secondary data are obtained from scholarly literature and the works of Islamic education management scholars. Data were collected through documentation studies and analyzed using thematic analysis. The results indicate that the Qur’an contains principles of visionary and responsible planning, orderly and collective organization, as well as supervision and evaluation based on spiritual awareness. These principles are aligned with Azyumardi Azra’s theory of Islamic education management, which emphasizes professionalism and institutional modernization. The implications of this study suggest that the application of Qur’anic management principles can serve as a conceptual foundation for realizing effective, accountable, and sustainable management of Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

Character education in Islamic schools requires a systematic integration of Qur’anic values to shape students’ moral, spiritual, and social behavior. Despite widespread recognition of its importance, the implementation strategies for internalizing these values remain varied and context-dependent. This study aims to systematically review existing literature to identify effective strategies for the internalization of Qur’anic values in schools and their impact on student character development. A systematic literature review (SLR) was conducted by analyzing peer-reviewed journal articles, books, and educational reports related to Qur’anic-based character education. Inclusion criteria focused on studies that explored pedagogical strategies, school culture, and extracurricular programs in Islamic educational contexts. Data were synthesized to categorize strategies, outcomes, and theoretical underpinnings. The review identifies four major strategies for internalizing Qur’anic values: (1) Qur’an-based learning integrated across subjects, active reflection, and experiential methods; (2) structured daily worship routines, flagship character programs, and value-rich school environments; (3) role modeling by teachers and leadership guidance from school principals; and (4) extracurricular activities, social engagement, and Qur’anic-based leadership programs. Implementation of these strategies positively influences students’ moral reasoning, discipline, spiritual awareness, and social responsibility. The findings highlight the crucial role of teachers, school leadership, and family-community collaboration in sustaining a Qur’anic value-centered educational ecosystem. This study provides a comprehensive framework for educators and policymakers to design holistic programs that promote character development grounded in Qur’anic teachings, offering practical insights for enhancing spiritual, moral, and social competencies in students.
