Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of the tapping transaction system using e-toll at the Sidoarjo 2 Toll Gate and analyzes the potential for optimizing vehicle volume through the implementation of a contactless transaction system based on Multi-Lane Free Flow (MLFF). The research method used is quantitative descriptive, with primary data obtained through interviews and observations, and secondary data from government and company documents. Data analysis was carried out using SPSS 26 with the Chi-Square test to determine system stability based on arrival time, service level, and waiting time. The results showed that the highest vehicle arrival rate occurred on Monday, with peak traffic reaching 1,816 vehicles/hour. Although the current system is still optimal under normal conditions, the increase in vehicle volume during long holidays requires additional toll booths. Implementation of MLFF, with transaction times approaching zero, can eliminate queues and significantly improve traffic flow efficiency. This study emphasizes the importance of implementing MLFF at toll gates with high vehicle volumes and recommends further studies on aspects of technology, cost, and risk to ensure a smooth transition. The implementation of MLFF is a crucial step in maintaining long-term operational efficiency and improving toll road performance.

Abstract

Transportation is an essential aspect of daily life, as the entire community relies on it to meet various needs. Rapid population growth and the high mobility of residents in the city of Surabaya have created significant challenges in public transportation management. This study aims to identify the reasons behind the low usage of Wira Wiri Suroboyo and to assess the effectiveness of social media marketing for Wira Wiri Suroboyo. A quantitative approach was employed using a questionnaire as the primary data collection instrument, with purposive sampling applied to select respondents. The study utilizes the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), Reach, Act, Convert, Engage (RACE), Fishbone, and Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) analysis methods. The results of the analysis using the Fishbone diagram show that the root causes of low public interest encompass several factors, including limited public participation, routes that do not cover all densely populated areas, inadequate bus stop facilities, and dependence on the regional budget for operational funding. Based on the SWOT matrix, Wira Wiri Suroboyo is positioned in the maintain quadrant but requires significant improvement in the “Act” aspect of social media engagement. The main strategic priority is to enhance interaction with consumers and provide informative, user-friendly content to build stronger brand awareness. This study concludes that the low usage of Wira Wiri Suroboyo is not solely a transportation issue but also a result of an underdeveloped supporting ecosystem. As a strategic recommendation, the Surabaya Transportation Agency should consistently implement the RACE framework, improve infrastructure (particularly bus stops), and adjust bus schedules at each stop according to actual travel patterns (origin–destination).

Abstract

In the business world, the competition to maintain and obtain more customershas become tougher. The presence of new players entering the market isdriven by the developments of internet and advertisement. The X guitar courseis an institution engaged in the field of non-formal education services. Thecustomers are the course student that has made the payment transaction. Themap of customer segmentation is one of the most important components infinding the main needs of each customer. Know the main needs of eachcustomer is expected to increase the customer’s loyalty. Customersegmentation can be done by using the clustering method through a datamining approach in the form of RFM (Recency, Frequency and Monetary)Models. Recency is the data of the last payment transaction date. Frequencyshows the number of course payment transactions. Monetary comes from thenominal amount of the transaction. RFM data is combined with the FuzzyGustafson-Kessel and K-Means clustering method to produce output in theform of k-clusters of customer. The formed segment is expected to representthe need of customers that vary by using validation process with the GlobalSilhouette Index. The customer population of the course is 225 students. It hasbeen concluded that the RFM score for each subject by using 3 FGK clustersis the optimum cluster model with the largest Silhouette Index, which is 0.523.This research is expected to provide an in-depth analysis of customersegmentation for X guitar course

Abstract

The mining industry requires an optimal mechanical workforce to ensure equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and sustainable productivity. However, workforce allocation is often determined using conventional approaches that may not adequately reflect actual workload variations, resulting in potential overstaffing or understaffing. This study aimed to determine the optimal number of mechanical personnel required in the Asset Management Group (AMG) Department of PT TMP by applying the Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) method and integrating the results with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), the Balanced Scorecard (BSC), Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP), and expert judgment. A quantitative descriptive approach was employed using historical maintenance data collected from April to December 2025, including work orders, maintenance duration, manpower requirements, and effective working hours. The workload was converted into FTE values, validated through expert judgment, and subsequently evaluated against departmental performance indicators. The findings revealed that the average ideal workforce requirement was 21.8 mechanics, with a peak demand of 39 mechanics, while the actual workforce averaged 37.9 mechanics. Nevertheless, expert validation recommended maintaining a workforce level of 45–48 mechanics as a strategic manpower buffer to accommodate operational uncertainties during the project transition period. Integration with KPIs demonstrated improvements in Physical Availability (98.6%), Mean Time Between Stoppages (118.3 hours), Mean Time to Repair (3.2 hours), and Manpower Cost per Hour (USD 5.66). The study concluded that integrating FTE analysis with performance management and strategic workforce planning provided a comprehensive, evidence-based framework for optimizing workforce allocation and supporting long-term operational sustainability in mining projects.
