Abstract

This research is motivated by the implementation of structured and highly disciplined teaching staff management at SMP A. Wahid Hasyim Tebuireng, which focuses on improving the quality of learning through teaching staff personnel management. The objectives of this study are: (1) to determine the performance management of teachers, (2) to determine the quality of student learning, and (3) to analyze the implementation of teaching staff performance in improving the quality of student learning at SMP A. Wahid Hasyim Tebuireng. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis is carried out through data processing, categorization, and interpretation. The results of the study indicate that management has an important role in the education system because it is able to optimize human resources in a directed manner to achieve institutional goals. Based on GR Terry's theory, management functions include planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising. The implementation of these four functions at SMP A. Wahid Hasyim is running well and has a positive impact on improving the quality of learning. However, it was found that the madrasah still needs to optimize training and guidance related to the use of learning technology, especially in the preparation of lesson plans, syllabi, teaching methods, and teaching materials to support the effectiveness of the learning process.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to describe the implementation of human resource management (HRM) strategies at MTsN 15 Jombang, examine the condition of administrative services, and analyze the contribution of HRM strategies in improving administrative service quality. Methods: This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. Participants included the principal, head of administration, vice principal for facilities, and administrative staff. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. Data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. Results: HRM strategies at MTsN 15 Jombang operate through five channels: needs-based workforce mapping via job analysis, competency-matched staff placement, digital capacity building through MOOC Pintar, performance oversight via SKP and E-Kinerja platforms, and multilevel employee motivation programs. These channels reduced service turnaround from 2-3 workdays to 1-2 hours, lifted procedural adherence from 72% to 91%, and achieved over 85% favorable user ratings via PTSP digital feedback. Novelty: This study presents an integrated six-component HRM model unifying workforce mapping, competency-based placement, capability building, performance governance, motivational leadership, and digital service delivery into one coherent framework for Islamic educational administration.

Abstract

This research aims to explore in depth the implementation of Human Resource Development (HRD) in the enhancement of the Adiwiyata Program. The research was conducted at MTs Al-Hikam Jombang from November 2025 to April 2026. The research method employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, accompanied by analysis and data validity testing. The results indicate that HRD at MTs Al-Hikam Jombang is implemented through training and development, organizational learning, leadership development, and knowledge management. These various forms of development successfully enhanced the knowledge, skills, abilities, competencies, and performance of the madrasah community in driving improvements to the Adiwiyata Program across policy, curriculum, instruction, activities, partnerships, facilities and infrastructure, and achievement of awards up to the Mandiri level, as well as the program’s sustainability at the international level through Al-Hikam Edu Tourism. In several cases, the success of the Adiwiyata program is largely determined by the quality of human resources. Previous studies have extensively examined HRD but have rarely linked it to this program or vice versa. Therefore, these factors emphasize the importance and novelty of this research.
