Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of digital technology on the transformation of learning patterns among madrasah students from the perspective of Islamic education. With the increasing use of digital devices such as smartphones, tablets, and computers in learning activities, it is expected to affect students’ strategies, motivation, and learning efficiency. The methodology employed is a literature review, analyzing relevant sources related to educational technology within the context of madrasahs. The findings indicate a positive correlation between digital technology and learning motivation, independent learning ability, and adaptability to innovative instructional methods. In the framework of Islamic education, the use of technology must also be oriented towards reinforcing religious values, discipline, and ethical behavior in the learning process. These findings highlight the importance of integrating digital technology wisely into madrasah education systems to enhance educational quality in a way that is both adaptive and aligned with Islamic principles. The study recommends enhancing teachers' capacities in utilizing digital tools based on Islamic values and developing a madrasah curriculum that is responsive to the challenges of the digital era.

Abstract

In Islamic education, the role of madrasah teachers extends beyond delivering material; they are also responsible for shaping students' mindsets and Islamic character. One of the key emerging approaches is the Islamic-oriented growth mindset, which emphasizes the belief that individuals’ abilities can be developed through effort, proper strategy, and Islamic values.. However, there is still a limited number of studies that specifically examine how teachers contribute to developing a growth mindset learning style that affects students' persistence in learning. This study aims to systematically review the literature discussing the connection between teachers' roles, growth mindset, and learning perseverance. A descriptive qualitative approach was used through a literature review method. The results indicate that teachers play a crucial role in creating a learning environment that supports the learning process, provides constructive feedback, and encourages students to face challenges. These factors contribute to the development of students' perseverance, which is essential for academic success. The study concludes that strengthening the teacher's role in fostering a growth mindset is a key strategy in building resilient and persistent learners. This mindset is also supported by Islamic values such as effort (ikhtiar), perseverance (sabr), and consistency (istikamah) which reinforce students’ resilience in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the integration of learning styles and Islamic educational values in fostering students' learning autonomy in madrasahs. In the context of Islamic education, the development of learning independence is not solely based on students’ learning style preferences but must also be grounded in core Islamic values such as responsibility, discipline, and sincerity in seeking knowledge. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method at a Madrasah Tsanawiyah in North Sumatra. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with teachers and students, and analysis of instructional documents. The findings indicate that teachers’ understanding of diverse learning styles—visual, auditory, and kinesthetic—enables them to design more responsive and meaningful learning experiences. The integration of Islamic educational values is implemented through the habituation of positive behavior, the cultivation of intrinsic motivation based on spirituality, and character reinforcement throughout the learning process. The synergy between pedagogical strategies based on learning styles and Islamic values has proven effective in enhancing students’ learning autonomy, particularly in aspects such as learning planning, time management, and decision-making in the learning process. These findings affirm the importance of combining modern pedagogical approaches with Islamic values to develop students who are independent both academically and spiritually.
