Abstract

Covid-19 which emerged in early 2020 has had a major impact, especially on the Indonesian people, both in terms of economic, social and health impacts. Throughout 2020 to 2021, the increase in Covid-19 in Indonesia has increased sharply. The increase in Covid-19 is due to low public awareness of prevention efforts and minimal public interest in vaccination at the beginning of the pandemic, especially the people of Sukajadi Village, Ciamis Regency. One solution that can be provided is to educate residents of Sukajadi Village, Ciamis Regency about the importance of Covid-19 vaccination and correct hoax news about vaccination. The purpose of this vaccination education activity is to increase public awareness, especially in Sukajadi Village, Ciamis, regarding Covid-19 vaccination. The method used is the Participatory Rural Appraisal method and survey. The results of this activity can increase the awareness of residents of Sukajadi Village about the importance of vaccination.

Abstract

Covid-19 which emerged in early 2020 has had a major impact on Indonesian society, especially in economic, social, and health aspects. Throughout 2020 to 2021, the number of Covid-19 cases in Indonesia increased sharply, one of which was due to low public awareness of prevention efforts. As a solution, the latest information related to Covid-19 was published through posters distributed on social media such as WhatsApp and Instagram. This step aims to be a rapid prevention effort, especially in Sukajadi Village, Ciamis Regency. The purpose of this publication activity is to increase public awareness of Covid-19 prevention while providing information on the latest developments in Covid-19 cases. The methods used in this activity include *Participatory Rural Appraisal* to actively involve community participation, as well as surveys to understand the information needs of the community. The results of this activity show an increase in understanding and awareness of Sukajadi Village residents regarding the importance of accurate information related to Covid-19.

Abstract

The increase in Covid-19 is due to low public awareness of prevention efforts. The solution that can be provided is to socialize the prevention of Covid-19 and disseminate information about Covid-19 through poster media distributed via Instagram and WhatsApp, especially in Sukajadi Village, Ciamis Regency as one of the Thematic KKN programs. The purpose of the Covid-19 prevention poster publication activity and updates on the number of Covid-19 exposures is to increase public awareness, especially in Sukajadi Village, Ciamis, regarding the prevention of Covid-19. The method used is the Participatory Rural Appraisal method and survey. The results of this activity can increase the awareness of Sukajadi Village of the importance of preventing Covid-19.
