Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of Lampung's customary values with sharia contracts in UMKM economic practices in West Tulang Bawang, Metro, and Bandar Lampung. Economic ethnography method was employed involving 45 informants through in-depth interviews and participatory observation over six months. Research findings indicate that piil pesenggiri philosophy (nemui nyimah, nengah nyappur, sakai sambayan, juluk adok) converges with maqashid sharia in UMKM practices. The sakai sambayan system in West Tulang Bawang produces qardh al-hasan financing with 87% compliance rate. Murabahah contracts based on nemui nyimah in Metro increase customer loyalty up to 75%. Musyarakah partnerships with juluk adok principles in Bandar Lampung achieve 45% annual turnover growth. The study concludes that the supremacy of trust and customary-based social networks serves as an effective enforcement mechanism, yet faces modernization challenges requiring comprehensive empowerment strategies through sharia microfinance institutions, digital platforms based on local values, and certification systems for sharia economic sustainability.

Abstract

Peran strategis UMKM semakin signifikan dalam konteks pengembangan industri halal di Indonesia. Sebagai negara dengan jumlah penduduk muslim terbesar di dunia, permintaan terhadap produk halal terus meningkat secara eksponensial. Namun, sektor riil halal, khususnya UMKM, belum sepenuhnya mampu memanfaatkan peluang ini. Salah satu tantangan utama adalah keterbatasan dalam hal sertifikasi halal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan jenis penelitian lapangan (field research). Penelitian lapangan dilakukan untuk memperoleh data langsung dari objek yang diteliti di lingkungan alamiah, dalam hal ini Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) sektor makanan dan minuman di Kota Metro yang telah memperoleh sertifikasi halal. Data lapangan menunjukkan bahwa sertifikasi halal berdampak nyata terhadap peningkatan penjualan serta membangun kepercayaan konsumen. Kepercayaan tersebut tumbuh karena sertifikasi halal tidak hanya dipandang sebagai label administratif semata, tetapi sebagai jaminan atas keamanan, kebersihan, dan kesesuaian produk dengan prinsip-prinsip agama. Abstract

The background of this research is based on the urgency of implementing the principle of amanah (trust) in the Islamic business system, which is increasingly relevant in the era of global economic modernization. This research aims to examine and analyze the concept of amanah in fiqh muamalah and its contribution to the formation of a just and ethical Islamic business civilization. The method employed is qualitative research with a library research approach through document analysis, normative text study, and synthesis of relevant scientific literature. The results show that the principle of amanah has three main dimensions: transactional honesty, contractual responsibility, and institutional integrity. The conclusion of this study affirms that amanah is not merely a moral value but an epistemological and institutional foundation for Islamic business civilization, capable of providing solutions to the trust crisis in contemporary economics. mic education and the renewal of Muslim intellectual and moral culture.
