This study aims to explore academic dishonesty in undergraduate students of Psychology Study Program at University X. The design used is a descriptive study. Sample technique using conventional sampling with a total of 182 undergraduate students of Psychology Study Program at University X. The measuring instrument used is the Academic Dishonesty (ADS) which was compiled by Ampuni et al. (2019) based on measurements of academic dishonesty from McCabe and Trevino (1993) and Stone et al. (2010). The results show that there are some undergraduate students who still practice academic dishonesty, like cheating, unauthorized collaboration, and plagiarism. Besides that, the tendency for academic dishonesty to be committed in undergraduate students of Psychology Study Program at University X is in the very high category when viewed from group norms. The majority of factors that cause undergraduate students to commit academic dishonesty come from internal factors, namely wanting to get higher grades and external factors, namely the existence of lecturers who give many assignments.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of parenting self-efficacy on parental burnout among working single mothers. Parental burnout is a condition that working single mothers are particularly vulnerable to, as they must simultaneously fulfill dual roles. The pressure from job demands and parenting responsibilities can trigger emotional exhaustion, feelings of detachment, and a decline in effectiveness in their parenting role. Parenting self-efficacy is known to be one of the factors that can help single mothers cope with parenting challenges. This study is a non-experimental quantitative research that involves two variables: Parental Burnout and Parenting Self-Efficacy. A total of 389 participants were involved in this study, with the following criteria: a) working single mothers, b) having children aged 5 to 12 years, and c) living in the same household as the child. Logistic regression analysis showed a significant negative effect of parenting self-efficacy on parental burnout among working single mothers, with an influence of 67.9%. This indicates that the higher the level of parenting self-efficacy in working single mothers, the lower the likelihood of experiencing parental burnout. Practically, the results suggest the importance of interventions and programs aimed at strengthening parenting self-efficacy to reduce parental burnout in working single mothers.
