Abstract

In Indonesia, waste management is a big problem for the environment since not enough people are involved and there aren't any integrated systems. To solve this problem, a prototype mobile app called JEMPOL (Jemput Sampah Online Langsung) was made. It offers an online waste collecting service and instructional functions. The goal of this study was to evaluate the application of JEMPOL prototype. This stufy used the Design Thinking process to make sure that the application was user-centered.  The System Usability Scale (SUS) approach was used to evaluate the application with 20 people who are the intended users. The average SUS score was 70.38, which puts it in the "Acceptable" range on the Acceptability Range of SUS, gives it a "C" grade, and is rated "OK" to "Good" on the Adjective Rating scale. These results show that users generally like and can use the JEMPOL prototype, although the score differences suggest that some parts of the interface may be better. The application has a lot of promise for being used more to get more people involved in digital waste management.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze public sentiment regarding the Indonesian government’s electric vehicle (EV) incentive policy using YouTube comments as the data source. The research applies text preprocessing steps including cleaning, normalization, stopword removal, tokenization, and stemming to prepare the textual data. The cleaned data is transformed into numerical representation using the Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) method and classified using the Multinomial Naïve Bayes algorithm. To address class imbalance in the dataset, Synthetic Minority Over-sampling Techique (SMOTE) is applied. The model evaluation metrics include accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. Based on the evaluation, the model achieves an accuracy of 71%. The model performs better in classifying negative comments, as shown by a higher recall and F1-score in the negative class compared to the positive class. These findings indicate that public responses to the EV incentive policy tend to be more critical. This study provides insights into public opinion that can serve as a valuable reference for policymakers in designing more effective and well-communicated incentive strategies for promoting electric vehicle adoption in Indonesia.

Abstract

This paper presents a security monitoring system designed for high-value museum and gallery display items such as statues, paintings, and pottery, which are susceptible to theft due to their aesthetic, historical, and economic worth. The design integrates an ESP32 microcontroller with an HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor to detect object movement or removal. Upon detecting unauthorised movement or disappearance, the system dispatches a real-time notification via the Telegram application to alert the user. This study consists of problem identification, literature review, system architecture design, prototype implementation, and thorough testing. Experimental results demonstrate the system's effectiveness in detecting object displacements and absences, with notification latency under two seconds and successful message delivery across all test scenarios. These findings demonstrate a practical security measure for art and historical collections
