Abstract

Promiscuity among teenagers is deviant behavior that contradicts religious norms, culture, customs, or rules that apply in society. Free association that often occurs among teenagers includes consuming alcoholic beverages, fighting, engaging in promiscuous sex, stealing, and often participating in illegal street racing. These problems occur in Wawama Village, Morotai Island Regency. In view of the above phenomena, the following issues can be raised: (1). What are the forms of promiscuity among teenagers in Wawama Village? (2). What are the factors that cause promiscuity among teenagers in Wawama Village? (3). How can guidance and counseling services be optimized to overcome promiscuity among teenagers in Wawama Village? This study uses a qualitative descriptive research design with a case study approach, where the treatment is curative in nature, also known as a retrospective case study, which allows for follow-up treatment or improvement of a case (treatment). The results of this study found that: (1) Forms of promiscuity among adolescents in Wawama Village include consuming alcoholic beverages, fighting, engaging in promiscuous sex, sniffing glue, street racing, smoking, and stealing. (2) Factors contributing to promiscuity among adolescents in Wawama Village include a. Lack of parental control. (b) Peer pressure. (c) Parties at weddings or youth gatherings. (d) Lack of religious education. (3) To overcome free association among teenagers, it is necessary to optimize counseling services using a preventive approach. The preventive approach involves handling and giving special attention to teenagers who have fallen into promiscuity, while rehabilitation involves providing treatment and recovery for teenagers.
