Abstract

Teenagers studying at university, known as college students, have the responsibility for themselves; they are demanded to be independent in academic activities as well as to build the identity achievement by searching for information through exploration with sufficient intensity in various fields. After collecting adequate information, they need to make choices (commitment) to the field that suits thei interests and abilities. Based on a discussion conducted in the class, it was revealed that some students felt unsuitable with the study program they took; they did not know the career they would pursue while they were already in the third and fourth semesters. This was survey research with a quantitative approach. This study aimed to obtain an objective description of the Students’ Employment Identity Status at the Public Health Education FKIP Universitas Riau. The samples of this study were taken randomly from a population of 104 students. Data on the students’ (adolescents) identity status were collected through a questionnaire. Then, the data were analyzed by using descriptive statistical analysis utilizing SPSS 20. The results of the study found that only 30.77% of students reached the achievement status while 42.31% of the students were at the level of moratorium status. In addition, 15.38% of the students at the level of Forclusure identity status and 11.54% of them were at the level of diffusion status.

Abstract

The importance of studying media literacy models based on local wisdom has been expressed in many previous studies. This article aims to conduct a literature study on media literacy models based on local wisdom. Media literacy is becoming an important skill in today's information and technology era. However, often the media literacy taught tends to be general and does not consider the cultural context and local wisdom of a region. Through this literature study, the authors analyze previous research, journal articles, books, and other related sources to identify important aspects in developing media literacy models that strengthen people's local wisdom.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the consumptive level of students receiving KIP Lecture scholarships at FKIP Riau University. This research is a quantitative research using a descriptive approach. Validity test with a critical r value of 0.463 obtained from 30 students of FKIP Riau University. Of the 48 statements tested, 6 statements were discarded so that 42 statements were used for research. In accordance with the reliability test analysis using the SPSS version 23.0 program to find the Cronbach's Alpha value and obtained an average value of 0.846 which means that there are 42 valid questionnaire statement items to be used as data collection tools. From the descriptive analysis based on the attitude variable with a mean of 3.77 which is in the high interpretation. The conclusion of this study is that as a result of the research obtained, the Consumptive Attitude of KIP Scholarship Recipient Students at FKIP Riau University is on a high interpretation seen from demographic factors in the gender category and major category with the acquisition of an average mean of 3.74. So it can be interpreted that consumptive attitudes affect the gender and also the majors of students receiving KIP Lecture scholarships at FKIP Riau University.
