Contextualisation of Zakat in the Qur'an From the Perspective of Kontowijoyo Islamic Epistemology Rufi'ah, Rufi'ah

Abstract

Natural disasters and epidemics are major humanitarian challenges, necessitating the help of others to resolve them. One way to do this is through the distribution of zakat. Zakat is a form of philanthropy with the potential to channel humanitarian funds. However, because zakat has been defined by the categories of recipients mentioned in the Qur'an, while the victims who need assistance vary widely, it is necessary to re-examine the concept of zakat recipients so that its objectives can be achieved. In an effort to reinterpret the concept of zakat recipients, this paper will utilize Kuntowijoyo's Islamic scholarly approach, namely moving from text to context. Based on the demystification (contextualization) of zakat in the Qur'an, the epistemological perspective of Islamic scholarship illustrates that subjectively, zakat aims not only to purify the soul and wealth of the zakat payer as a form of devotion to God. More broadly, zakat aims to eliminate poverty, alleviate the suffering of victims of natural disasters (COVID-19), and create prosperity and social justice. Thus, based on the Islamic scientific project, zakat as an Islamic teaching with various benefits and implications can be accepted by anyone, even other religions, without being forced as a teaching, but as knowledge. This is also in line with the principles and mission of Islamic philanthropy.

Abstract

Di era digital saat ini, pemanfaatan teknologi informasi menjadi salah satu kunci penting dalam meningkatkan efesiensi dan kulaitas layanan pendidikan. Sekolah sebagai lembaga pendidikan dituntut untuk mampu beradaptasi dengan perkembangan teknologi agar pengelolaan administrasi dan penyampaian informasi menjadi lebih terbuka, cepat, serta mudah diakses oleh seluruh warga sekolah maupun masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dan tenaga kependidikan SDN Ciemas dalam pemanfaatan teknologi informasi melalui pelatihan pembuatan dan pengelolaan sistem informasi manajemen (SIM) sekolah berbasis Google Sites dan AppGeyser. Peserta yang terlibat dalam kegiatan ini berjumlah 25 orang yang terdiri atas guru dan tenaga kependidikan. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan dalam beberapa sesi yang meliputi penyampaian materi, diskusi interaktif serta praktik langsung terkait pemanfaatan aplikasi SIM sekolah berbasis Google Sites dan AppGeyser. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode interaktif dengan pendampingan langsung, sehingga peserta tidak hanya memahami konsep secara teoritis, tetapi juga memperoleh pengalaman praktis melalui bimbingan, simulasi dan pelatihan terstruktur dalam pengelolaan manajemen sekolah berbasis digital. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan kemampuan guru dan tenaga kependidikan dalam mengoperasikan aplikasi SIM sekolah secara mandiri. Sebanyak 87% peserta mampu membuat, mengelola, dan memanfaatkan SIM berbasis Google Sites untuk mendukung kebutuhan administrasi dan penyebaran informasi sekolah. Selain itu, implementasi sistem yang dikonversi ke dalam bentuk aplikasi Android melalui AppGeyser turut mempermudah akses informasi bagi guru, siswa, maupun masyarakat. Kontribusi nyata dari kegiatan ini meliputi peningkatan efisiensi pengelolaan data sekolah, penguatan literasi digital guru, serta terwujudnya tata kelola informasi sekolah yang lebih transparan dan terintegrasi.
