Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the management of Masalili village woven sarongs can improve family income. Masalili woven sarongs are used for traditional Muna clothing in Southeast Sulawesi. The type of research used in this study is qualitative research. Data collection techniques used in this study were interviews, observation, and documentation. With a total of 5 housewives as informants. Data were collected using interview techniques. Data analysis was carried out by data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are that the management of Masalili woven sarongs can improve family income and as additional income for daily life. The research results revealed that the management of woven sarongs in Masalili Village shows significant potential for improving family incomes. Empowering artisans, developing products, and effectively marketing them can significantly impact the well-being of the Masalili community. Sales of woven sarongs provide an important source of additional income for families and can even help husbands meet their daily needs, reducing dependence on a single source of income
