Abstract

The development of digital technology requires vocational high school (SMK) students to have a professional identity that can be displayed online as part of their readiness to enter the workforce. However, many SMK students still do not understand the concept of personal branding and do not have a representative digital portfolio. This article aims to analyze the effectiveness of Community Service (PkM) activities in the form of website-based personal branding development training in improving the digital literacy and professional identity of Al-Hasra SMK students. The methods used were socialization, training, and direct mentoring, with data collection techniques through observation, pre-test and post-test questionnaires, and activity documentation. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in students' understanding of personal branding and their ability to present their potential, skills, and experience professionally through websites. It was concluded that website-based personal branding training is effective as a strategy to strengthen the digital identity and work readiness of vocational school students. These findings have implications for the development of an applicable digital literacy training model for vocational education.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan meningkatnya penggunaan media sosial di kalangan pelajar menuntut adanya upaya edukatif yang mampu mengarahkan pemanfaatan internet secara bijak dan produktif. Namun, pada praktiknya, penggunaan media sosial oleh siswa tingkat Madrasah Tsanawiyah masih didominasi aktivitas konsumtif dan hiburan, sehingga potensi internet sebagai sarana pengembangan kreativitas belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan menerapkan media interaktif “Internet Cerdas” berbasis platform no-code AppSheet sebagai sarana edukasi penggunaan media sosial secara produktif bagi siswa MTs Mathlaul Anwar Pamulang. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi penyuluhan, demonstrasi, dan praktik langsung pembuatan aplikasi sederhana berupa katalog digital atau portofolio karya siswa. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan berbasis praktik ini mampu meningkatkan pemahaman siswa mengenai pemanfaatan internet secara positif serta menumbuhkan keterampilan dasar dalam pembuatan media digital tanpa pemrograman. Selain itu, kegiatan ini memberikan variasi pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dan meningkatkan antusiasme siswa dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran berbasis teknologi. Dengan demikian, media interaktif “Internet Cerdas” dapat menjadi alternatif pembelajaran yang efektif dalam mendorong penggunaan media sosial secara produktif serta pengembangan keterampilan digital siswa di lingkungan sekolah.

Abstract

Data visualization and digital design skills have become crucial competencies in the Industry 4.0 era; however, many vocational high school (SMK) students are still limited to using conventional presentation software without considering aesthetic principles and information clarity. This Community Service (PKM) program aims to enhance the digital design skills of students at SMK Panti Karya 3 through training in creating presentations and infographics using the Venngage platform. The implementation method consisted of three stages: 1) Preparation (needs analysis and coordination), 2) Implementation (workshops on design theory, typography, color psychology, and hands-on practice using Venngage), and 3) Evaluation. The participants of this program were students of SMK Panti Karya 3 selected through purposive sampling. The results of the activity indicate a significant improvement in the students' digital competence. Based on pre-test and post-test results, there was a 75% increase in the average score of design principle comprehension. Technically, 90% of the students were able to transform textual data into communicative and visually appealing infographics. The evaluation of the final products showed that using Venngage effectively assisted students in organizing professional layouts without requiring complex graphic design expertise. In conclusion, this program successfully enhanced the students' visual literacy and confidence in producing competitive digital content.
