ABSTRAK Tingginya angka bunuh diri di Surabaya menunjukkan urgensi kehadiran fasilitas hiburan publik seperti Cinema Center, yang dapat menjadi ruang rekreatif sekaligus intervensi sosial. Melalui pendekatan regionalisme kritis, desain Cinema Center memadukan teknologi modern dengan nilai-nilai lokal, menjadikannya bukan tempat hiburan dan sarana penguatan identitas budaya sehingga dapat menurunkan tingkat stress. Penerapan metode desain strukturalisme melalui analisis pola pada bangunan sekitar tapak dan fungsi sejenis menghasilkan tipologi arsitektur yang diterapkan pada aspek tapak, ruang, dan bangunan. kemudian dianalisis serta diintegrasikan, sehingga rancangan menjadi kontekstual dan selaras dengan identitas budaya setempat. Hasil desain Cinema Center Surabaya menghadirkan ruang publik modern yang fungsional, estetis, dan bermakna, sekaligus memperkuat identitas budaya melalui perpaduan fasad dan interior bergaya kontemporer dengan nuansa lokal. Kata kunci: Cinema Center, Regionalisme Kritis, Arsitektur Jawa ABSTRACT The high suicide rate in Surabaya highlights the urgency of establishing public entertainment facilities such as a Cinema Center, which can serve as both a recreational space and a form of social intervention. Through the application of critical regionalism, the Cinema Center’s design integrates modern technology with local cultural values, positioning it not merely as a venue for entertainment but also as a medium for reinforcing cultural identity and alleviating stress. The implementation of a structuralist design method, through pattern analysis of the surrounding built environment and similar functions, generates an architectural typology applied to the site, spatial organization, and building form. These elements are subsequently analyzed and integrated, resulting in a design that is contextual and aligned with the local cultural identity. The final design of the Surabaya Cinema Center presents a modern public space that is functional, aesthetic, and meaningful, while simultaneously strengthening cultural identity through the interplay of contemporary façade and interior elements infused with local nuances.
