THE INFLUENCE OF CATHOLIC RELIGIOUS EDUCATION AND CHARACTER COURSES ON STUDENTS' RELIGIOUS CHARACTER AT SANA BERNADETH KEMBES CATHOLIC MIDDLE SCHOOLThis study aims to determine the effect of Catholic Religious Education and Ethics subjects on the religious character of students at Sta. Bernadeth Kembes Catholic Junior High School. Bernadeth Kembes Catholic Junior High School. The background of this research is based on the importance of Catholic religious education and ethics in shaping the character of religious, moral and faithful students. The subjects of Catholic Religious Education and Ethics are seen as strategic in integrating the values of faith, love, and responsibility in the educational process. The research method used is quantitative method with survey technique. The research sample amounted to 68 students determined through the Slovin formula from a total population of 82 students. The research instrument was a Likert scale questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques and simple linear regression through the help of the SPSS application. The results showed that the implementation of Catholic Religious Education and Ethics subjects and religious character were in the very good category. The results of the regression analysis showed a positive and significant influence between Catholic Religious Education and Ethics subjects on religious character, with a coefficient of determination of 74.6%. This finding shows that the subjects of Catholic Religious Education and Ethics make a major contribution in shaping students who are religious, moral, and have integrity.
