Abstract

Anemia among adolescent girls remains a serious health problem in Indonesia, including in Mandikapau Timur Village, Banjar Regency. Low adherence to consuming Iron-Folic Acid (IFA) tablets is a major barrier to anemia prevention efforts, even though the government has set a target of 52 tablets per year. Survey results show that only a small number of adolescents regularly consume IFA tablets, with low family support as well. This condition increases the risk of decreased learning concentration, weakened immunity, and future pregnancy complications. This community service activity aims to improve IFA consumption adherence through the innovation of the SI PATUH program (Reminder and Education System for Medication Adherence) using a WhatsApp-based chatbot and a family monitoring calendar. The methods used include community diagnostic surveys, intervention planning, implementation of the chatbot and calendar, and monitoring through pre- and post-tests. The results show an increase in adolescents’ knowledge of the benefits of IFA tablets, understanding of side effects, and consistency in weekly IFA consumption. The combined intervention of digital technology and family support proved effective in increasing adherence among adolescent girls. This program has the potential to be replicated in other areas as a promotive and preventive effort to reduce the prevalence of adolescent anemia.

Abstract

Islam is a religion that has taught a lot about ethics and morals. In fact, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was also very concerned about ethics, which shows how important it is. However, nowadays ethics has become less important. One of them is the ethics of eating and drinking standing up. Both eating and drinking also have some ethics and manners, should be in the implementation of eating and drinking follow the ethics and manners as taught by the Prophet Muhammad SAW, namely not eating and drinking while standing. Rasulullah saw. has given an example of the ethics of eating and drinking for the benefit of his people by prohibiting drinking while standing. This research is qualitative in nature and uses library data-based research methods by collecting research data sources from various relevant literature sources. Many literatures mention that drinking while sitting is considered better than drinking while standing. Some of the effects of drinking while standing on the digestive system include disrupting the work of the kidneys, dehydration, digestive tract dysfunction, nerve pressure, causing stomach acid, and triggering arthritis.
